This is my favorite current rip off/scam
Tacoma takes 6QT (Really 5+1ish) so the coupon is for 5QTs....Plus Tax/Disposal Fee..
If you sell oil you have to take it for free for disposal...SO I guess it's a disposal fee for the filter?
anywho the $40 oil change has a $13 disposal fee plus $14 for the extra quart AND then tax...So the $40 oil change is like $93 out the door....
For $24 in oil and a $5 filter (Bulk)...

How old is the car? Should be done every two years.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Lots of mid sized trucks are cheaper to drive then a Tacoma.

I went in for a "vin verification " today, on my old sport (stupid dmv), and I cracked a joke about all the Toyota mechanics standing around sipping coffee. The service rep laughed and gave my truck a free oil change. Right then and there. Took 10 minutes. Got to love small city/big town America...

Its not that bad. People on here always bad mouthing a dealer. Mines pretty decent. If you go there are you paying more, probly. But you didnt have to do shit, you got an oil change, 2 filters changed that probly cost more than wed realize and they cleaned your ac coils which I never heard but hey..

Criminals! The last day my truck ever sees the dealer is the last day of the warranty or after the free oil exchanges are over.

The schedule that makes my brakes work every time. Might wanna Google that shit and why. It takes 30 minutes to do. Hell, the last couple I did with an 11 year old. Now she knows how to do it on my Lexus and Duramax.

Definitely flush brake fluid every couple of years as it's hygroscopic (absorbs moisture). If you don't your caliper pistons and bleeder screws will rust and seize over time. If you're lazy just change the fluid in the master cylinder with a turkey baster and add fresh. Most of the fluid is in the master anyway.

Just had my oil change, filter and checked brakes at my mom and pop garage and the total was a big 162.32 CAD if I would of gone to the dealer it would of been at least 50.00 more just guessing.

I go by manufacturers recommended service schedule. Not Google. So was wondering what manufacturer has that frequent of cycles? < 3 year life cycle or 75 km for brake fluid?

The big Toyota dealer here had a snack bar with lots of free bottled water and coffee and real good chocolate chip cookies. They even got a pretty girl that makes hot sandwiches too.

Sure they charge a little more, actually a lot more than others but for effeminate men that can’t do simple maintenance it’s a godsend. Sure they up sell services and products but aren’t you worth it? Is this a great country or what?

It's a risk sending someone else ( or having someone else) do a task for you. It looks that your saved time cost you some money. Apologize to the Wife, she probably thought she was doing you more of a favor. It's not her fault.
