So I set up the master plan to buy exactly what is in the the title around the end of July. In another thread I was reading today a few folks talked about paying off credit card debt before the big Tacoma plunge. I am attempting to heed this advice and then I see this:

    http://thephotoserver.com/cgi/info.exe?bc=4851687

It's in Bellevue, WA and I may be in love. If I offer $5 under the ridiculous listed price and they go for it I think I will be in a new ride manana.

    Well, how say you?

I went to talk to the Internet sales manager and asked one of the lackeys if he could get me to the 'man' to make an offer and lackey says to me, 'I'm the guy that can get you to the guy.' ...Or, I can just walk in the building and ask for him. Friggen lackey-badger tool.

Stick with the plan because it will make your financial life easier in the end, this one example will slip by but they'll make more and July will be here soon enough.

So how much are you going to offer?? They are asking $31,980, which seems a bit high to me.....

I bought mine at Michael's, and I was happy with the whole process. It took about 2 hours total, including the test drive, to get out the door.

Yeah, my gf talked me in to doing just that. I love the Timberland but it will make things tougher financially to buy now so I may not be able to find the color I want in 6 months but I'm sure I can find the same truck in Pyrite or that gray color.

Freaking ridiculously high. I found the same truck but w/o JBL on the USAA car buying service for $27,998 new! I was going to use this reasearch to make an offer of $26,500 and hopefully close for $27,000 - $1,000 less for the used truck than the new w/o JBL. I think this may be difficult to make happen in the pacific northwest.

Ok, whew. I thought your post said you were going to offer $5 (as in five bucks) off their asking price, thinking it was a great deal already.
