Hvac blower motor resistor help!!

    Sorry to bump an old thread.

    Jimmy, what if I am only getting 9.75 volts on the black/yellow?

    My blower is dead at all speeds. I have swapped the heater relay and put 12v to the motor and it works fine. Also can hear the engine load up when I turn the switch when it engages the ac compressor. Checked for continuity on the white/blue and got a reading of 2.3 ohms. When I run the switch through the speeds, the ohms on the blue/white are lo-2.5. 2-10.8, 3-12.5, hi-16.8 ohm.

    I'm stumped.

    Don't know where to go from here to figure it out.

    Where exactly are you reading this 9.75 Volts on the circuit?

    If you are only getting 9.75 volts at the Black/Yellow wire at the motor there is a high resistance connection somewhere up stream towards the 50 amp heater fuse. You need to check for high resistance on the red wire from the heater fuse to the relay and then the yellow and black wire between the relay and the blower motor connection.

    Yeah. The 9.75 volts was at the blower plug under the dash.
    Thanks, I will pull the relay/fuse and check that in the am and report back.

    Junction between two sections of wiring harness. That would be IA4 not 1A4 as it is behind the instrument panel.

    Indicates the wiring harness and wiring harness connector. The wiring harness with male terminal is shown with arrows (>>). Outside numerals are pin numbers.

    The first letter of the code for each wiring harness and wiring harness connector(s) indicates the component’s location, e.g,
    ”E” for the Engine Compartment,
    ”I” for the Instrument Panel and Surrounding area, and
    ”B” for the Body and Surrounding area.
    When more than one code has the first and second letters in common, followed by numbers (e.g, IH1, IH2), this indicates the same type of wiring harness and wiring harness connector.

    Any idea where the B/Y goes after it splits after the heater relay? Or where I might find IA4 in the instrument panel as I am pretty sure that is where my issue is at. Want to inspect the connection and possible pull a new wire to the blower motor.
