Jealous, man!! Keep at it! We never had a track like that near us but I’ve always wanted to try it out! Rode dirt bikes and dual sports all growing up but never had anything made for fun, just makeshift dirt jumps and lumpy fields and ditches haha. Epic!! Hope to be ripping in my 50s still like you! Someone has to teach the kids how to have fun :D

Just bought a Buran III and found a 15% off code. $155 OTD after tax. Pretty stoked on it, thanks again for sharing.

Excellent. Tons of space and they last forever. I'll have to take photo of my sons. Absolutely cosmetically shot, but functionally perfect and he won't let me replace it. He's 6'7" and has the largest one. Got it while in high school. He's 33. I hope you find it as functional as I do.

How’s the mini bike track coming along? My daughter is finally tall enough to ride the PW50! Now it’s time to rake up some leaves and create her a easy track.

that is awesome dude, I am more pumped to see my future kids ride than I am see them walk I believe

raking out the track was my first step, and really just about my only step so far...

not the greatest pic, you might not be able to make out some of the line I have cut out, I should have ran a few more laps before snapping the picture

at this point I need a crew of diggers with shovels to start the berms

    0-41.jpg

ripping some laps in the rain is a ton of fun, might be my favorite time back here, wetter is better :rain:

I need a 110! While fun ripping around on the 50, it’s just so tiny!
I will have to fire up the 200 and break up the dirt a little.

you are like 6 feet tall right??

you should look for an xr80 or even an xr100

that would be a great mini size for you taller dudes!

I am 5'7 and the 110 in stock form is a bit cramped lol :anonymous: but I dont care I would rip a pw50 if you give me one, but you know the deal

I was out for a ride today to meet a buddy for lunch. On the way back I stopped at a red light by the local college and there was a MSF course in one of their empty parking lots. They all had HD street 500s and it was kind of funny that they all stopped I unison and watched me as I rode by. Haha. I waved but got nothing back. Needless to say I shifted a little higher in the RPM band than normal.

i live in a town called port jefferson
it has always been a huge bike destination for people who live on long island
it also has the ferry that crosses into bridgeport CT, so it has also for decades been a very popular destination for people coming in and out of state

the amount of bikes on any given saturday sunday during the summer is easily near 100 at any given moment

it is so funny, i never get sick of it, never ever ever lol

but tons of characters, as you would see anywhere I am sure

My old boss, we're still friends and she's only a few years older than me, teams'ed me today and asked if I was still willing to let her ride one of my bikes. She's taking her endorsement class test thing this thursday and hasn't ridden since the end of last summer when she took the first of the two classes and got her permit. I said sure, why not, come on over tonight.

Started her off on the Navi to get her balance and comfort turning and stuff back, she absolutely loved it and may sell her bike (Suzuki boulevard 650, maybe? If I'm remembering right..) and get one. Then after she rode around for maybe half an hour on the Navi I put her on the CB750 so she could practice starting and stopping with the clutch and changing gears and stuff. She was just cruising up and down my street on that for a bit and then at one point took a suspiciously long time coming back. Turns out she stalled doing a u-turn and dropped it in her words "at a literal stand still and basically in slow motion because I was fighting to hold it up so much."

Took a look and there's basically zero damage to the bike. Gotta love giant solid steel pegs that stick out too far and barely have a scratch on them. I'm amazed though, seriously no damage to the bar ends, forks, exhaust, nothing. Just the tiniest of scratches on the pegs. She was all worried and embarrassed but I didn't care, just asked her what happened and why she thinks she dropped it. Turns out she grabbed the front brake going too slow mid-turn and it tipped on her. Told her "been there, done that, now you know. If I was worried about you dropping it I wouldn't have let you ridden it, it's all good."

She left feeling much better about Thursday and I'm realllly hoping I have a fellow Navi-rider in the near future

Edit: today was the first time I rode all 4 bikes in one day, too! Commuted on the F800GS, got the ct90 gassed and warmed up before I realized that's too weird of a bike for her to be learning on, then warmed up the CB750 before she rode it. Rode the Navi while she was on the CB750 for shits and giggles up and down the road, too.
