That’s pretty cool! How long is it compared to, say, a ~28” modern shotgun? Shorter? Longer?

I would say that it’s around the length of a typical 26” barrel shotgun, the bolt it buttery smooth though.
My plan is to cut it down to 18.5” (or maybe SBS it) and use it as a snake gun as the barrel was already cut down from the original 30”.

I bet so, I plan on just running light loads through it.

makes me think of my buddy in college that thought he was being manly when he took the recoil pad off his 12ga (which he adamantly referred to as the tampon). He ruined that gun and no one ever wanted to shoot it because it would leave your shoulder black and blue.

Solgw angry patriot lower came in this afternoon. BCM furniture yesterday. I got to play adult Legos tonight. Didn't even have to get on my hands and knees to find a detent spring

Also got a cloud defensive LCS to mount the streamlight tape switch as is way nicer than the cheap streamlight one and has hidden cable routing. 20220505_201933.jpg

Gonna try out the LaRue MBT on my current build. Anyone else have experience with it?

I used a Geissele SD-C on my last build. The SD-C is so good but I was looking for a slightly more frugal option.

I have one of the regulars and one of the straights bows. I'm going to swap them all to the straight bow ones I really like it. I have no experience with ny others beside milspec but the Larues fit my needs other than they are sold out

I run the mbt2s in my AR10 fantastic trigger and pretty much best value out there. Heard their single stage isn't very good haven't tried one but very very happy with mbt2s.

That being said the Geissele I just put in my newest AR build is slightly nicer a bit less take up slightly crisper break and nicer reset. Is it $100+ better maybe not depending on the person. I got the Geissele on sale for around $160 vs $240 and at that price I'd pay the difference between the two and go geissele. At full pop I'm 100% ok with the Larue

Good to hear. Geissele does decent sales around the holidays, but I wasn't wanting to wait 5 more months. Looking forward to comparing the two soon.

Something I need to do is be a little more adventurous. I tend to find something that works and just stick with it.
