    Mostly for cabin and bed length. In this current market, I’ll be paying about 50% for a Tacoma vs the tundra. Also enjoy the 4.7 a lot. Since my 04 taco, Ive run trips to Arizona, NM, NV and CA. The AC cab has the perfect size area for me to make a dog platform with still enough space to tote shit in the back. The 4th gen 4Runner didn’t have enough carry space for myself the wife and the dog (comfortably.) I could probably hash out more over beer haha!

    Was thinking you could broaden your spectrum to the 2nd gen Tundra as well. 4.7 has timing belt where 5.7 is a chain. 2nd gens can be had and are more widely available. I do like the 1st two years of the 1st gens, but then they kinda got a softer look.

    I agree with you 100% less the length and width of the 2. I prefer the smaller 1st gens, (about 10 inches less IIRC), give or take a few inches less for the width. I love the early pre 05 tundies but, I dread the lack of VVTI and the 5 speed transmission. The 00-02 remind me of the old F150s we would use to chase in the baja races but, I still think they look sexy :jerkoff:. You might have a 2nd gen tundie coming your way. Guy just moved here from not California. Cheers
