    Great picture!

The only nice looking birds I seen were the Blue, Red Jays and woodpeckers. The rest are regulars native birds, pigeons, seagulls.

    Saw an owl once.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Well, shop is closed for now, and back to "normal"! Got some errands, then come back and get stuff for "dog errands" - he can stay in the truck without me leaving. He gets to recycle cardboard, and drop off stuff at the plant exchange. And, hey, his seat bed is going to match even better! I was so happy to just fire it up, crank the AC, set the clocks, and adjust the EQ (it doesn't remember after battery disconnect). I can tell it's going to be significantly quieter and sound even better in there. Have a great hump day!

    Morning all:
Got the oil changed in the 66 yesterday and used the last AC Delco PF-141 oil filter that I had. They don't make those filters anymore, so now need to cross reference to a different brand, I am not a fan of Fram so probably will switch to either WIX or Baldwin oil filters. Just ordered GL-4 85w90 gear oil for the Muncie 4 spd., most places don't have it in stock anymore, only GL-5, thought I had some but must have used it up.

That’s great. It snowed yesterday a little and I saw my first hummingbird at the feeder. I know we are in a mega-drought and need the water but I’m getting tired of the extra cold spring.

I do have the pellet gun all ready for the magpies. They kill all the quail babies and other young birds.

I'd rather have the magpies than the starlings. If time travel was possible I'd go back and shoot the guy that imported them.

So agree. Magpies and starlings are on the no fly zone list. I've even used a few feathers from a starling (after washing of course) to tie some experimental fishing flies.

I wish some smart tech guy would use facial recognition to charge wires strung between telephone poles to ZAP starlings en masse. We are missing a significant number of song birds (and others) due to the starling invasion.

At least magpies aren't an invasive species.

We have more issues with huge flocks of magpies killing other birds. We find dead birds all over the street. Once in awhile we'll have a 50+ flock of starlings passing by. Lately we haven't had many starlings at all. I think it's because there is a red tailed hawk nesting close by. The hawk takes out more mourning doves than anything though.

I just noticed the arch on your avatar. You must be in Utah. Ever fish Fish Lake?

Oh yes! I love fishing that lake. I will mostly fish Strawberry in the fall and kill them. I have my "secret" spots in the High Uinta streams. The Provo River is good fishing but it's usually too crowded for me.

Have you driven Gooseberry now that they paved it all the way to Fish Lake? I live in Salina.

All this bird talk - sorry I have to chime in. this year has been a fantastic year for bird watching and, in my case, -photographing. We have never had B-Orioles before -but this year we have them in groups of 6"s and 8's. Also we are getting groups of 12-18 Rose breasted grosbeaks. here is a couple of pics from today --forgive the "softness of the shots as today is very overcast and as a result my ISO had to go on the hi side. Oh and I popped a Bluebird for fun. The first Oriole pic is of a female- maybe a young female

    I have not.

BTW, I was in Salina last Friday and stayed at the Quality Inn. I was checking out ATVs for 7 couples we are taking on the Paiute Trail in September and playing golf in Gunnison, Richfield, and Ferron.
