    I’m doing interior work.
I think exterior is easier than interior but it is all in the prep work for sure.

So far I’ve made some rookie mistakes but I don’t think it will be the end of Me.

How's the fit with the bumper? Bolt right in? The control box can be relocated too right? Been considering one of these but my intercooler might interfere with it.

I have a name brand sprayer setup from home depot(I forget the brand though) as it was basically the same price as the Harbour freight version.

I painted my garage last interior last summer. It was raw plywood, and I wanted to add some brightness and painted it a light gray before moving in.
The gun does a great job of speeding up the process vs a roller( I rolled 1 wall before deciding to buy the sprayer.)
The issue I had was misty overspray. It was a garage workspace so it didn't have to be perfect. I used a stiff sheet of cardboard and sprayed against that for the floors and ceiling. Actully worked quiet well. The issue was the areas farther away from the walls that would have misty overspray settle on them and leave a light coating of spray. I noticed it on my concrete floors and some of the work equipment I had in there.

Cleaning a spray gun properly is super important!!! You do not want paint drying inside. Follow the directions. Not difficult, but you need to do it right.

It's a little tight... front of winch to inside of the tubes. You have to run the fairlead bolts from inside to outside (with the nuts on outside in the fairlead). Otherwise the additional 1/8th inch (or so) wont allow the mounting bolts to line up. (I had to do it the same way with the Warn M8000 too though)

Yes, you can remote mount the controller box. But with dual batteries, I really had no place to remote mount it. Didn't really want to hack up my grill, but also didn't feel like spending all day dicking around trying to find a different spot

There is quite a bit of space between the controller box and the radiator support. Not sure how much room your intercooler takes up, but there could be enough space there for it.

The trick to exterior painting is to use an airless sprayer which gives much less overspray than an air-driven pressure pot and using low-overspray tips reduces the mess again by another half. To gauge productivity, a sprayer like the one just linked is perfect for DIY/semi-pro amd will spray a double garage door in 8 mins flat and a 10' tall, 50' long wall in 2 hours accounting for having to move everything a couple times to cover the distance. A sprayer like that more rhan pays for itself the first time you use it but also account for an hour getting really familiar with it with youtube first.

Sprayers really take the work out of exterior painting but of course the prep is the time sink. It took me 3 years to get my exterior ready to spray, then a weekend to spray the whole thing. Also in my view your time is worth more than the paint cost, so get the best paint you can find. There is a huge variation in paint performance in both application and longevity.

Jump to 6:15 in this vid below to see how a sprayer handles eaves. when doing walls, you use a tip that covers about twice as wide of a swath so you move even faster.

Had to do the same with my fairlead and current winch. Think I even had to grind the bolt head some.

The intercooler takes up all the space. I have plenty of room in the engine bay since the battery is in the bed and abs deleted.

You should be pretty good then. The Spool lever is a little tall. It caused me to have to cut the grill for it too though. The spool lever sits, basically, right at the bottom of the grill. That shouldn't interfear with your IC then.

The spool lever can't be clocked like on a Warn. It sits on top.

Appreciate the feedback! I guess now it's time to do some research on sprayers.

How you liking these? Have you gone blind yet? I just picked up a couple of them for the garage to replace some old school T12 style fixtures (one of 'em gave up the ghost). Not gonna lie, the last pic instantly makes me think of the infamous Kenny Rogers Chicken episode.

man they are nice and bright. And yes just like the red menace, just don’t look directly into the light LOL. they fire up in the cold and make no noise, that’s good enough for me.

side note: the HF hedge trimmer paired with the 80V battery is definitely worth the purchase, it did a nice job, I did my yard today with it. Started with 3/4 bars on the battery and still had 2 bars when I finished. About 20 bushes in total. Nice not to have to mess with carb and smell the 2 smoke smell, battery is back on the charger now, worth the purchase if anyone is on the fence about the quality. The blade mechanism was sharp and seemed to hold up well and easily trimmed even a few of the thicker branches on the bushes without binding up.

Is anyone using the 80v cordless string trimmer? I am shopping for a cordless weed eater & having a tough time deciding.

Has anyone used a cordless power washers? Curious to know how well they work and if they are worth it. I love the concept, but it seems like a standard 2000 PSI washer will outperform and cordless, battery-powered pressure washer.

I have the Ryobi 40v one. It's nice for light things, but kinda useless. The cheapest corded ones are at least 2-3x as strong.

That’s what I figured. Does yours list a PSI output? Probably gonna go with one of the cheap corded ones. I’m only gonna be using it for washing the truck.

I’ve got a 40V Ryobi, works great. My sister and brother-in-law have the Harbor Freight push mower, weed eater, chainsaw, and something else and like them.

    edit: they have Atlas brand

    600psi.
I have a 1800psi ryobi that I bought for about $100 a few summers ago when I needed to wash my parents camper and I was away from my nice gas one. It has way more power, and easier to use as it doesn't have a garden hose attached to it. I'll spend the extra few mins setting it up for the power and lighter setup.

The one really nice thing about the battery version though.....at my buddies boat we do not have access to power. I can use the battery powered spray gun with the included hose attachment that is designed to drop into a lake or such to clean the boats real quick.
