Then they should bring them over and let them not do well here instead of banning them.

don’t get me wrong, I love my Tacoma. It’s definitely a capable truck and the newer Tacomas look better than the newer Hiluxes but having driven so many Hiluxes for so long, the heart wants what it wants.

Have you seen what the hilux looks like? No thanks. Have you seen the cost of diesel? No thanks.

There it is, it's the chicken tax which is the same reason we don't get the amarok.

Toyota won't build it here so they won't pay the tariff.

A fun result of this is at one point Ford was shipping bench seats to Europe to put into the transit connect vans to bypass the tax. Get installed at the port in Europe > boat trip > remove at port in the US > back on the boat back to Europe.

    Looks like a Ridgeline.

    I would still drive one.

Still could use a lift and an ARB front bumper. I like the Hilux, as it isn't as stylish as the Tacoma.

The Hilux could definitely use the LC 300 styling and 10spd along with a 3.5 bi turbo engine.

Toyota owns a chunk of Subaru so look for those styling additions to appear. I would love paddle shifting and all will drive.

Also I think hardly any diesels would sell here in USA. Everyone talks about them, but I bet no one buys them.

Kind of like the Subaru turbo. Everyone was upset Subaru stopped making it but it only accounted for a small percentage of sales.

Thank god we don't have the current hilux.

I want a truck that looks like a truck. Not some swoopy futurustic looking vehicle.2022-RHD-Toyota-Hilux-GR-Sport-double-cab-Pickup-Rocco-2.8-automatic-4×48-2.jpg

Still has rear drum brakes lol

If Toyota could scale down the LC300 lines on the 4th gen Tacoma. That could be a very good looking truck. What ever Toyota has planed for the 4th gen, it has probably already been finalized.

Meh they both are butt ugly…Toyotas styling has been off the rails for some time now.

    Guess it could be worse…
