Hello all, as stated, I can not get my throttle to reset after replacing my battery for the second time. I have a 2005 2.7 5 speed manual. The last time I replaced the battery, I had the same issue but it cleared up after a week or two of driving. Idle is low around 550 rpm. I have tried multiple different versions of ignition switching and pedal pushing to reset but nothing seems to work. Check engine light comes on with a p101, mafs implausible signal fault. I have erased the fault multiple times already while trying to reset the throttle. I have also driven over 100 miles but no reset. Last time this happened, i thought i was getting a pedal sensor fault but I'm not sure. I have also cleaned the throttle body. I have also tried to disconnect the battery again. Nothing seems to be working. Would it be worth having the dealer reset with a factory scan tool? Any help is apreciated

Ok, on my truck in P or N, idle at 750ish and in gear at about 550ish. Not sure if that helps in anything lol

The flow chart for that code is “Replace MAF sensor”.

I suppose you could check power and ground, and wire integrity to the ECU.
But I’d probably just check power and ground, then throw a MAF sensor at it.
Then again, I’m not a mechanic and don’t really know what I’m doing.

    I did a little digging.
You can indeed test the maf.

It’s fairly involved, and requires battery voltage, an ohm meter, and blowing across the MAF.
And all of that is also “kind of” temperature dependent too.
