    2007 Tacoma 4x4
2021 Offroad 4x4 DCSB. I put on the Eibach Pro suspension kit all around. The front also has a 1/2" spacer on the driver's side and 1/4" on the passenger to get me really close to a 3" lift up front and a 2" add-a-leaf in the rear. I also have SPC adjustable UCAs. I set the ball joint at the 0° caster setting which is +2° change from factory. According to SPC that's the most common setting for 2-3" lift.

I put the lift on myself almost a year and 12,000 miles ago. It went on really easy. Nothing that different from other lifts I've done. I've now developed a click or knock when I go over a speed bump after turning to the right. Once I go over one bump after the right turn, it doesn't click or knock again. I don't feel the click/knock. It's only audible.

I've retightened and checked torque on all bolts, removed and replaced the front skid plate, and checked all boots/joints and everything looked good and normal. I've also had 2 alignments since the lift and everything was within factory specs.

Below is a link to a youtube video of the driver's side setup going over a speed bump and you can hear the click. It's not obvious where it's coming from but thought it could be helpful.

    https://youtu.be/eXQPkS7cS_E

I'm looking for any info that might point me in the right direction. Thanks for your help!!!

I’m having the same problem on a stock 21 OR DCSB. Have 6112/5160 and rxts ready to go, but thinking I should do a dealer test drive first. How many miles are you at? I’m at 40k, feels like I’ve had the click since day 1, but have pushed it off. Battery tie down was loose at one point, corrected that and still had the noise. The noise sounds in the wheel hub or wheel well, not so much the engine bay, correct?

Your post has me thinking the lift won’t fix it.

This is not a new problem, I have an 08 Tacoma that does the same thing. Driver side only, on bumps. Cannot figure it out for the life of me. Most on here say it’s the alignment cam bolts needing re-torqued.

Toyota tech at the local dealer (a smart one, not some goober) said it might be because aftermarket vs oem fitment. I’m running SPC uppers like you, and factory mounting bolts for those, Moog lowers (oem equivalent) and factory cam bolts.

Snugging the cam bolts makes it seem to go away for a bit, but maybe like a day max then it’s back. Good luck hunting this down

Hard to tell from the angle but looks kinda like the upper control arm barely making contact with the coil, any paint missing?

    Being a sharp sound vs a dull/muffled sound I don't think it's a ball joint or anything.

How's your core support? And cracks in it?

I had a problem once where a shop tightened the cam bolts and suspension at full droop and had noise issues. Once they cracked them loose and retightened with weight on the axles, no issues. Im not sure that this is your issue, but its worth looking into if someone goes to mess with it. Might want to re-set all those bolts.

Do you have any space between the cam lobe and cam tabs?

You probably need the weld on cab tab plates.

The stock design is kinda chincy shit.

Not to hijack or anything, but….
I should look into this! I could see this being an issue.

All my body mounts, tie rods, ball joints, upper/lower control arms, steering rack and pinion, shocks, struts, tophats, wheel bearing and hubs, and brake calipers have been replaced and I still get the noise.

Also did those too, endlinks, bolts, and bushings… and even got the noise worse without a swaybar installed

I have had the same issue nearly since I got my tacoma back in 2018. It showed itself after maybe the 1st or 2nd service cycle I think. Was convince my suspension was slipping somewhere, maybe swaybar, I still think maybe body mount or something. But anyways, I replaced my suspension and it went away last year, but just this trip last week it started to show itself again. Will just tighten everything soon and see!

Op , did you install a sway bar relocation kit ? The sway bar seems to be hitting the coil .

Pretty sure this is the noise I have as well. I've been meaning to install new body mount bushings but haven't got around to it. Does seem to be getting worse and I can hear it on the passenger side as well now sometimes. I don't have a sway bar and still have the noise.

Definitely have a look at your core support mount bushings. I have gone through 2 sets. They make noises similar to what you are describing when they go bad

My completely stock 2019 does this exact same thing. Only on the drivers side. Only when i hit a bump or compress the suspension up to a certain point. The only time it really happens is when i drive threw a wash out on my property. Been meaning to look for the cause but it doesn’t do it enough to both me yet.
