Just got done building a high steer kit for a SD. Barnes sells for 120 but they were out of stock. Artic is like 300. I decided to be cheap. Took 3 days basically of aligning, fab, grinding, cutting drilling and fitting. They are mine but ill take that 3 days back for $300.

that reminds me that I should probably pay ECGS $300 for the install and shipping costs to save me some time and sanity

@Wulf will I regret using a detroit/grizzly ez locker in the front vs an air setup?

how do you use the truck?

if you want to use 4wd on the street you will probably regret an autolocker in the front lol

I mean, I prob won't ever use 4wd on the actual street. On dirt roads at most. Otherwise only on trails. Do you run an air locker in front?

I did a lot of searching and never even saw those. Fucking google. Those are nice. I woulda def paid 220 for them. Mine are similar I guess. Dont have the webbing yet but will prob grind it in. Welds on the cast are ehh but you won't ever see. Prob gonna run another bead over to firm up.

Yeah buckets are the way to go

last time I double boxed it the way ZUK prescribes

The way ECGS shipped the thirds back was not great, they were single boxed and had holes on all sides on arrival. The ARB hardware fell out too lol

They heckled me a bit when I called and said I needed more small hardware for the ARB and implied that I lost it. They ended up sending it out with proof of the shipping damage so I can't complain too much.

02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
The ARB won't work anyway, just weld it up like a spool now while it's out.

Those look good! Remind me of the Barnes kit, i used the Artec kit when i did mine in 2019 but at that point they were only like 180 for the kit. Fkn inflation

Side note, i have an auto locker up front on mine, it doesn't see the street often but when it does i just unlock both hubs and you cant tell its up there.

I have an ARB in the front of my Tacoma. No real complaints

In the crawler i have a lock rite and it was doing well but recently stopped unlocking. the pinion dropped and I need to rebuild the third so with any luck it's just binding due to glitter.

The auto locker is fine in the front with hydro assist, the truck understeers a bit in 4wd but I never go above like 20mph lol
