Looks like they were wound on Monday and in line for grinding which is a bottleneck in the process as it is time consuming, precision work. It's possible these will be complete prior to the forecasted date, but as @skeletron gently eluded, there are no guarantees.

@mark@eibach - Have you been following this thread recently? Many of us with 2020+ have been inquiring about the spring design causing majorly lopsided top hats, and slightly bent springs when installed. Was waiting to get a definitive answer in this thread. Is this normal?

I was only recently notified this thread was moving again, thanks for the update.

It is not uncommon for springs this configuration (open not ground) to do this with some preload on them. As you install them onto the vehicle they should align under load.

Appreciate the confirmation. I’ve never seen something like that before.

Yeah, it looks like Toyota continued to use the flat isolator pad on the mounts despite the spring design change (Makes sense, they likely had THOUSANDS in inventory). This obviously exaggerates the orientation as the wire is no longer flat on top.

Im not understanding why these springs are wanted.

Looking at the pix shown I cant see the truck has been lifted.
One guy complained about a squeak.
Another issue seems to be a truck lean.
    Slightly stiffer ride?
    Back ordered too?

ok so, what are the positives again? Why would anyone buy these springs?

$200 instead of $2000+ for a full new system (that compares to the OEM fox shocks).
Keep the fox shocks that make the pro a pro
You "not seeing a lift" is just your eyes and not what is actually happening.
No lean on these from 2017-2019 as the strut has built in lean adjustment
Squeaks are not the springs fault (also, 1 person having the issue is not a issue that you should even think of)
Stiffer when unloaded maybe, but mine feel the same as the old spring
99% of things are back ordered right now

You "not seeing a lift" is just your eyes and not what is actually happening. LOL, ok.
No lean? What about the 2020 trucks?
Squeaks DID start just after the spring install, but it's not the springs fault?
99% of "things" are not back ordered right now.

Lol, spring squeak is going to be bad installation of the isolator pads. A spring itself wont squeak as its a solid piece of metal, the places it contacts can squeak, but usually due to improper installation, the OEM spring mounts in the exact same way, so the OEM spring would squeak too if the person didnt install everything right. Many high end suspensions will squeak too if the person does something wrong.

Yes, you not seeing a lift in pictures is just your eyes. there is infact a lift, but since pictures are not good at showing a 1-1.5 inch lift your not going to see it well, this is due to before/after pictures being take at different angles, different surfaces, or the truck not being level in both pictures.

2020 trucks im not sure if they have built in lean adjustment from the factory, but if they didnt, then the factory spring would also lean.

And the backorder you speak of is like 2 week, its not exactly a long time. I got my spring right after ordering them, most people got their springs right after ordering them. Do you complain this much when ordering bumpers or sliders that have 2-3 month lead times?

I mean, if these springs are not for you then move on, no need for you to even be here. It does look like we already talked to you about all these things about 12 pages ago anyhow.

Im trying to justify how these springs are worth buying and 12 pages of info later I dont see it.

I want to buy em, have them installed (maybe correctly/maybe not) and lift my truck 1.5 inches, have a lean on my 2020 pro, deal with possible squeaks and have a bit more stiffer ride.

    What am I missing?

This is the info from all the posts from peoples complaints. I didn't make it up.

You sure you’re just not trolling?

Some people are incorrect, or have isolated incidents.

I don’t have a lean. Didn’t when I got the truck, still don’t after said lift. It’s built into the perch.

I don’t have any more squeaks then before…which I’m 100% sure is my leaf’s. Like others said, the how it’s installed in the isolator is usually the issue. I did my own install and was aware of this going in, so there’s that.

It IS stiffer. According to eibach, via email, for the 2019s anyways, have a 50ish lb heavier spring rate. Which might be a good thing if you are adding weight to the truck. The spring was a little tight when I was trying preload it.

If any of that concerns you, or it’s not for you…go find another lift…

Installed mine last weekend with a few other goodies in concert with another TW member way more experienced with suspension stuff.

I'd point out that the top hat on the stock pro shocks/springs is also canted when unloaded, just not as much. I should've taken a photo, but it is there for sure. Now that the new springs are installed and loaded with tires on the ground, top hats are perpendicular.

I gained 1.25 inches up front. There is no lean. I have a steel low pro bumper, winch, driver-side twin compressor, and a few other non-zero-weight additions.

Ride quality is the same IMO. They don't squeak, even with bumpy/hilly Seattle roads. Off road judgement reserved still. Falken 285s would occasionally rub a little on the UCA with certain maneuvers (e.g. compressed turn) but now they don't.

@mark5868 --or anyone-- if you don't want to pull the trigger on these I have an unused new-in-box Westcott front lift kit I'd sell you.

EDIT: Westcott lift sold on 5/18/22

I think I’ll give the springs a try. Thank you guys for your feedback.

The other issue is do I go with 265’s or 285 tires. I want the 285’s, but am worried about all the problems Ive read about. Shocker right :)

I am curious as to what method is preferred during this install. I see a lot of the “typical” disconnect the tie rod, disconnect the sway bar etc etc.

i noticed a guy simply removed two bolts and swung his lower control arm out of the way. This allows the strut to drop out of the bottom with minimal work. Are there any major issues with this method?

I asked about this a while back too. Just decided to take mine to a shop to switch out the springs with their wall mounted spring compressor next week

I removed the sway bar, then just unbolted the 2 bolts from the lower control arm to the spindle. Nothing else needed to be removed.

This is the method I’m leaning towards. Would upload a screenshot if my service wasn’t shit.

Removing struts tomorrow night. Have a shop swapping the springs on Friday.

Have you confirmed with the shop that they can handle the struts? I was having a issue with getting one of mine together, so I took it to a shop and they didnt have a compressor big enough to do the job, so I had to figure it out myself at home.
