Figured they wouldn't want to divulge any info, or get as technical as I would like. From some pics I could get what I need. I'll just hang out and wait, appreciate it.

No never. Used CO2 on a MIG machine welding basic structural steel with ER70S2 wire. We built several charcoal/gas grills with CO2. Someone mentioned they were using 75/25 on hot/cold and I raised the point for structural crap like shelving, trailers, boxes etc. you can use CO2.
I worked for Wasserstrom building food service equipment for Wendy's, Ponderosa (closed), Steak and Ale (closed) lol. Lots of stainless experience.

We had one here in Union Mo and just closed. Not a bad steakhouse when it opened but got worse over the years.

Back before it turned to a Buffet it was pretty good. I always like the decor of the one back home . I also remember when golden corral was a steak house and not a buffet as well.

If i remember prices were pretty cheap!

In those early days Power lifting it was not uncommon for me to get two of the biggest steaks at once.

I was messing around with the new lathe and took some scrap 1" round bar and made this rather unimpressive thing... (but keep in mind I never ran a lathe since dad sold his before I was old enough to use it.)

I wanted some taller pins than what came with the table and they are simple enough for a first project on the lathe.

Nice. I like your approach better than mine.

I bought these long bolts planning to cut some spacers to put under them. But, when I felt how loose they are when the threaded part is raised up into the table hole, I changed my mind. The reduced diameter where the threads are makes them too wobbly.

I can tighten a nut under the bottom, but,... still not as clean as yours. They do work great when no extra height is needed though, like for tubing or angle iron. Just a basic back-brace.

Your off to a good start!

Now you will be grabbing every piece of round stock you can to drag home.

nice thing about a lathe, it doesn't have to start round.. with the prices of steel lately, I grab whatever scrap I can get my hands on that is reasonable sized.

So, I thought I'd come back with my end result (regarding tank pricing).

I shopped around after getting a quote of $380 for a 125CF sized tank for Argon, and $65 to fill.

    This was before tax.

Found another shop where I bought a 126CF sized tank for Argon for $311, and $47 to fill.

Walked out with a full tank, tax and all, for as much as an empty tank at the other place.

Right on! I am surprised by how often I fire up the lathe - really, really useful tool! We need an "anything machining" thread!

I was afraid of getting too small a tank.

126cf is large enough, but small enough to easily carry.

    I'll go 125cf again for when I buy a 75/25 tank.
