I'd buy that. Even with rear drums.

Hey man congrats! This is the stupidest comment I've read today, there's a lot of tough competition out there but you sure beat off all those other guys.

Saw a new Tundra in person. I can't believe they signed off on that design. But these are the same people who signed off on the Camry, with it's massive maw, fake brake vents, fake exaust tips, etc. I would be embarrassed if I was Toyota. Across the whole line, really, including the spindle grilles for Lexus. They could take a page from any number of manufacturers...Audi/VW, Mazda, hell even Kia. Toyota's idea of "excitement" is extra large grilles, fake scoops, fake exaust tips, etc. They are lost.

[paraphrase] "Dear Toyota: find a way to make less money"

Given a choice between a Tacoma and Hilux, I'd do the Hilux too. High capacity/capability compact trucks just won't do well in a land set up for full sizes.

Too bad, they were very capable... but do you know any one with a diesel colorado who hasn't had a number of problems with it?

My father's has left him stranded a number of times, goes into limp mode constantly, DEF heater kills the battery in days, throws emissions codes, is close to needing a new turbo....< 50k miles, mostly highway. Rest of the truck is actually pretty solid.

The design team must be drunk…they have to be. Think because Toyota has been so bland and boring for so many years, now they are overcompensating…

Certainly didn’t buy my 3rd Gen for it’s looks, that is for sure.

That might be the nicest interior of any Chevy I have ever seen. I'm impressed.

I would not bet against that. Every forum that I have been on has always had big laments about something not being available and other weird shit.

I can imagine that there is some FOMO going on in a forum for bespoke, custom widgets.

For me, we're entry level, consumer grade, mass produced with absolutely massive aftermarket support. I friggin' love it.

I had a 2019 forester with more "hi tech" than a tacoma.....it was fine but I dont miss all that, didnt like electric park brake, fancy lift gate, ENG START/STOP, lane monitor, ect......sometimes less tech is better like after the warranty runs out.......I dont need the car to help me drive - I enjoy the drive

Um, there is so much wrong with your post that I don't even know how to fix it.
    1. the Tacoma has been manufactured in both the US and Mexico up until 2021. Now they have an additional plant in Mexico for Tacoma production and the US plant now makes Tundras and Sequoias.
    2. There is zero difference in quality between the US and Mexican plants.
I can't figure out the rest of your post.
