Do you have a build out guide or plan I could use for reference? Or has anyone else done it you can show me?

    Someone say 4.0L :anonymous: lol

You know your build was what convinced me I could fit 33s because I remember you were one of the only people that did it and had pictures of actually doing it lol.

Was there a certain icon aal that you used?

Also how much droop do you have? That shackle angle looks pretty vertical to me.

At first I laughed... Then I realized I was the fool...

I appreciate the kudos! I've been there and I know there were a select few who inspired me to go big on my truck.

So many naysayers and people telling me to just scrap or sell the 5 lug but I remained steadfast in my beliefs.

Now to be honest, seeing how far you've brought your truck as well as the custom work you've done puts my truck to shame. I have no garage or space to work on the truck and have beat the living hell out of my truck while simultaneously destroying it in the process of learning how to work on vehicles.

This re-build thread is all about returning the truck to top-tier style, performance, and value across the board.

I'm very impressed by your work and hope we can collaborate on helping me pimp my truck out !

I wanted to throw an update in as I've recently re-wired all of my speakers/amps/lighting and added a few exterior lights!

I forget exactly which day, but here are some recent shots! I will be adding some 2.5s to the rear in the next few weeks!

Hey bud, I recently sold my 5 lug. But prior to that there was this dude in SoCal that was getting rid of a 5-lug that had the TC coils and uppers. He also had the full solo motorsports LT kit that I was tryna get ahold of it. Long story short he sold the truck and the new owner hasn’t picked up the front LT kit and he just reached out to me.

If you have IG, msg me @ highland_4R

So I have the update of a lifetime..... After ~10 years of actively hunting down the specs and measurements of the Total Chaos Long Travel Kit for the 5 Lugs..... I got my hands on everything needed to have the Front set fabbed up..... Hang tight and enjoy the future progress as I'm entirely rejuvinated for the future of this truck.... So much so that I decided to throw the Clone bumper back on and am making the necessary trim cuts for the tire clearance (see photo below with one side trimmed). Please keep in mind that this was a rough trim and I will be cutting more and cleaning it up. All in all I should gain some active ride height, an extensive amount of travel, and a wide front stance once the kit is fabbed!!!!

YES - I also know the bottom of the skid plate is not fastened to the baja bumper...

I combined the update from earlier this morning and stopping point for the day in case anyone misses the first part. Figured it would be better for informative purposes so forgive me if you read it twice.

So much so that I decided to throw the Clone bumper (Clone bumper from the original Total Chaos Taquito that I bought the skid plate/bumper from) back on and am making the necessary trim cuts for the tire clearance (see photo below with one side trimmed).

Did some more trimming. I have to clean it up and make sure the measurements and angles are right before I grind it all the way to where it should be. I also bought a plastic tab welder to fix some tabs, and will be bondo/epoxying the seamline to make it smooth and beautiful. I'm also looking at buying a new set of front fenders as I chunked out a huge gap between the headlights as you can see. I'm going to be bringing this thing back from the dead!!!! It's funny because aside from slapping the 2.5s on, I haven't touched the truck in a year. I PNO'd it for cost purposes as I'm driving the Mercedes these days but my goal is to have this thing fully converted to off-road use only by the time my son can ride with me!

I also forgot to post that I ended up throwing the 2.5s on the rear. If anyone wants to buy the old ones just let me know otherwise I'm throwing em on the golf cart.

Installed as of July 7.30.22 and dropped some photos in the comments/thread. It definitely made a difference and added a ton of stability when driving as removing the Anti-Sway bar long ago + Bay Area roads is a nightmare. The 2.5s beefed everything up and added ride height somehow/stiffness that appears to be increased height/clearance lol.

Duly noted & will absolutely do so. I may just have what I need to produce the LT parts as of this past weekend (2.5.23).....

Reached out - Appreciate the heads up. Seems like I was a few months too late.

Oooooooh. I swear I need more photos of your truck as far as the shock towers and everything else you've been doing.

I did oem rotors but hawk pads. Little squealing after some mud but stops pretty good. I would highly suggest braided lines if you haven't switched already.

SO I HAVE AN UPDATE regarding the front end bolt-on long travel kit being replicated.... Dillon was dope and got me all the measurements, angles, etc. that I need and I've taken everything to multiple fabricators. Total Chaos told me they destroyed the CADs and everything years ago, but they did provide me with pictures, installation instructions, parts specs, etc......

I've spoken with a few fabrication shops in my area who also work closely with Dirt King, JD, and others.... To have the TC Kit rebuilt for the 5 lug for a single kit was quoted at TWENTY FUCKING THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! $20,000!!!!! They did however find me a guy who said he wants to talk it through and might be able to make it work for a fraction... They trust him and backed his work, but JFC.... I'm still reeling from that one....
