Probably due to rock chips. The factory steps are the same way if not running flaps.

If your Taco has the capability to remote start through the Toyota app, you should be able to use the key fob to remote start by clicking the LOCK 3x sequentially within radio range.

Yes, I installed the Start-X system a while back so mine has that 3 click feature too. I just keep wondering if I hadn't installed it, would I still be able to remote start....I'll never know.

If it's a 2019 I don't think remote start wasn't an option. Have to install aftermarket like N2 Designs.

You're right. BUT, I was hoping....weird feature set on mine. Doesn't fit any box in the US market.

TW does it again. Just a few minutes of catching up on this thread just cost me $600. I just bought a set of Clazzios in all red. Can’t wait and I really can’t wait till my wife sees I bought something else for the Taco

I had flaps on all winter. That's when the paint started to peel. Winter was rough in Iowa this time around. I've contemplated just taking the steps off and selling them. I bash my shins against them every damn time I reach into the truck, and I'm 6'4", I don't really use them to get in.

I think we’re married to the same person.. just when I say I’m done, some how, between the ears, I justify another purchase

Installed the Tacoma Lifestyle 3rd brake light, which I’m almost positive it’s just the same one off Amazon :anonymous: almost the biggest PITA install behind UCA’s lol

It is the same one and yes it is indeed a PITA to install. Ordered mine on Amazon.ca and was shipped from China. Took about a week and was surprised that it took only a week. Meanwhile my Clazzio’s which I ordered 4/21 is still in limbo! :annoyed:
