I have no idea but that’s a lotta credits lol

I’d make sure you’ve got the latest version of vF installed

Otherwise probably need to message zendesk

    is 1.4.2 the latest?

    It’s not. I now see 1.5.7

Yeah, for some reason I couldn’t find the newest version but I found it and now it’s working

Anyone else prompted to update software every time you flash your truck?
    It’s kind of annoying
    Unless I’m doing something wrong
I have to download the same update I always do?

You can also go grab the installer again and install over the top. The auto updater has been sporadic

I've stayed away from the updater built into the software as I've noticed some things don't get updated. For example, when the P5 PID's were added they weren't there if you updated within vF. But if you downloaded the full installer then they showed up.

Is it also normal for it to ask for master key, email, Password etc, then an error o message pops up every time as well?
I just hit cancel and don’t input any info…

No, that is not normal. That's typically when your license file (EcuEdit.lic) is missing or hasn't been previously created.

Pretty sure I had this happen to me too awhile back. I believe one of the VF updates fixed it for me.

What I'd like to see fixed is the notification to unlock previously unlocked ecu versions. It doesn't cost credits obviously but it's still slightly annoying. I can even have a file open and go to open another file with the same ECU version and it'll prompt me to register the ECU version unlock lol happens multiple times per day

I’ve been here since the purple dongle days. I know I entered all of the information it asks for previously more than once. Flashing works after I press cancel. When I go to enter the information again it says it’s unknown ‍♂️ Guess I can send a message to zendesk

    again

So technically tuning is like using S mode? I’ve been using S mode and it’s a huge improvement in throttling and gear shifting. The best part is, it’s free.

Not quite. S mode and D mode both use the same throttle sensitivity maps.

Ah. Coming from a 2nd gen, it’s very annoying. But S mode (and ect) is good enough for me now.

I remember reading that you would be able to convert any of the old tunes to the new format and flash them with the VFTune software. Is this a thing yet or is it still waiting to happen?

It's doable. All you need to do is open an old .vft and export it with a new name. The new file will automatically be a .vfc.
