That's quicker than my shit show. I'm so happy for you. :fistbump:
Here is a tip before you start her up. Add oil into the port for the oil filter to get as much down to the pump as you can and through the cooler. Fill the oil filter the best you can, the media will absorb the oil so you can turn it upside down for a few. Keep the plugs and coils out. Then remove the ECU 1 and ECU 2 fuses. Crank the engine for about 10 seconds, rest for 20-30, repeat 3 times. Put it back together and when she fires, she will sound lovely. This will prim the oil system and with the plugs out will not put a heavy load on the internals or starter.

So side note. I took my truck out to Hungry Valley OHV park last weekend. First really excursion since the rebuild. She did great.

Don't mind the propane tank, I was trying for an explosive finish:der:.

    EDIT: fixed the link

Just a few small things to button up, some fresh fluids and she’s ready to crank…

    D32B1797-230C-417A-8C31-756DC914DCB7.jpg

A couple questions, for the crank pulley, what are y’all using to torque it down? A tool or a few ugga duggas and some loctite?

Secondly…. Those again with URD headers. Were able to plug the o2 sensor into the ‘factory’ location on the passenger side without an extension harness? No way in the world is it plugging in without breaking the wires… waiting on my extensions to ship with my replacement quick change pulley so opted for the factory location so I can start it to make sure it runs but it looks like I may not even be able to do that since the o2 sensor doesn’t reach… I’ve had a lot of frustration with these URD products…

I needed the extensions for the O2 sensors. The headers should just ship with them as an option or state somehow that they are required.

I'd strongly advise using the collector for your O2's.

Agreed… I requested them as compensation towards a tool I broke trying to remove the quick change pulley hub from the SC input shaft… he’s working on updating the design to avoid the problem in the future but gave me no timeframe at all so just wanting to run the stock locations for now… like I mentioned my experience has not been wonderful so far… have been waiting to see what the resolution would be without getting to deep into details on here

thats the plan long term, need harness extensions and to figure out the passenger side sensor fitment issue. For initial startup shake down she’ll be sniffing from a single cylinder on each bank :)

That'll be fine. When I first installed mine I drove home (3hrs) and for another week while I waited on my extensions. You'll be ok, just know your fueling might be slightly less stable. Nothing to worry about though..

Sadly not that fun. It's weird being the pt and not the provider. Not gonna stop me moding or driving fast. That's a habit that cannot be dropped. ;)

    Here's something I've wondered for a while.
My tires don't hook up on dry pavement if I just step on it.
So would I go quicker 0-60mph by (1) easing into the throttle or (2) launching in 4wd?

    Good to know.

Yeah unfortunately even though if I get the engine started today, she’s still immobile. She has no legs  Really just wanting to start to make sure I have time to fix any issues that could arise; check for leaks, weird noises, etc…

Plan on running distilled water through the cooling system and let the truck go through a few heat cycles to flush any debris I may have dropped in the coolant passages while rebuilding. Then I’ll drain and swap in the Mishimoto radiator with some fresh Toyota coolant.

Same thing with the oil as well.

No leggy Lucy over here lol

4wd hi will be fine. How old are your tires? What kind of tires are they? You LSD or open diff? What's your are psi?what surface are you on? Rear suspension set is OEM or modded? You on the converter or just mash it? Generally you'll want to modulate the throttle to get a decent hook up with pickups because of the unloaded rear end.

Could just prime the oil and fuel system and check for leaks. Burp coolant.

It's only worth anything if you want it sitting in your garage for a hot minute. Post it up on Ebay. I had a OEM wheel bearing for my civic for years before someone bought it. But that was easy to store in a drawer.
