If your AT or MT, this is all that you need to worry about:
    upload_2022-4-21_8-31-35.jpg

The many TSBs cover the same Tacos with the same update, just note different symptoms for the dealers to reference.

These guys were great and helped me through it. If they can get me through it they definitely can get you through it. :)

I still pucker. I’ve only made a handful of edits and reflashed but puckersville every time. My shit failed the last time I tried to clear learned values anfter an update and I double puckered.

Certainly an odd bit of excitement that gives a thrill when finished. Not only that, but the big green flashing "Finished" in V16 always makes me think Error! Error! instead of success.

Yikes. Like @mZiggy said, vF can do it. Do you have a license or local to someone that does?

I think i am going to try to update my 2020 from 04B80 to 04B82 this weekend - Then reflah with VF for my SC tune. I did get an updated one from maggy for the new ECU id.
I did get TechStream to connect and read the truck successfully, but the pucker factor is strong!! Especially reading about other people's misfortune. I keep putting this off because to be honest it's scary stuff!!!

Thank you all who put time into teaching us all how to do things ourselves, I have thoroughly enjoyed doing mods to my truck. But this ECU flashing is scary AF!

Since you're driving a sport, the TSB update to 04B82 doesn't apply to you. You could still update to 04B81. I don't update any 2020's to 04B82 that don't have crawl control, but that's just to try to keep any dealerships from asking questions.

On the other hand, in Techstream it would likely show you had an update to 04B82, and a tech may do it regardless of what vehicle specs it applied to.

Regardless, you can do it and it will apply just fine, but just want you to be aware that it's possible a dealership may question why you have an ECU update that you didn't need.

Thank you for correcting me. I will need to reachout to maggy about another tune, when I asked I had told them I was going to 04B82. Not sure if there is a difference or not but won't hurt to ask.

You don't have to go with B81. But I felt it was good info to know that B82 didn't apply to your model. Some people, like myself, want to keep the warranty intact as much as possible. Once my 3yr/36k mile warranty is up, I'll no longer be concerned. Others go ahead and mod the crap out of their taco and don't care.

Ha, my warranty went out the window at 9,000 miles after I installed the supercharger. LOL I just assumed B82 was for me, i didn't know about or think about the different trim packages and different options between them. All the reading and homework I did, didn't think of that. Rookie move on my part.

What @ktbell444 said is true. 04B82 fixes the CrawlControl issue on the 2020 and 2021 ORs and Pros.

That said, there is no harm flashing it.

Like @tonered said, there's no issue. I'd go for B82 then. Easier to get updates from tunes in the future. I hate having to create 2 versions for the same MY. I'm ready for the 36 months to pass so I don't have to be concerned about that.
