Having issues with headlight housing, how do I remove this?

Hey y’all.

new housings came in and I have to swap this connector. I see what I believe is the clip I need to press… but I’m unsure exactly which way or how do to it. Any advice?

It should disconnect fairly easily if you press down on the small rectangle that’s in the middle of the 3 open slots (if that description makes sense).

If you can’t get it by hand, I had to gently use a pair of pliers to press it down and then pull apart the 2 pieces when I was doing my taillights. But that was only one one very stubborn piece.

 

Worked like a charm! I thought I was kissing something… sorry about that lol

 

Haha no worries! The taillights have the same connectors and 2 of them (one on each side) were absolutely impossible to do without pliers. Glad it worked
