Good lesson to DIY you're own oil changes. I always have on my vehicles. I hated the way the oil change was on this truck so I went with the baxter oil filter relocation. It's expensive, but it works awesome and now I can change the oil pretty quickly with nothing but a drain pan and a funnel.

    check it out. https://youtu.be/oOwvT8nhD7M

It's the vehicle's owner - the guy waiting in the lobby with his flip flops on - who is liable here. In Michigan if you give your keys to a valet and that dude runs someone over in front of the hotel the vehicle owner is liable.

    That's a law in Michigan?

How about if the car is reported stolen?

If I was the car owner being sued I’d let it go to jury trial. What jury would find find him liable? Plus I’d sue the idiot that doesn’t have a license and the dealership and the lawyer. Fuck all three of these losers.

The owner already sued the dealership for indemnity - and won. The owners insurance paid out 100k already so if the judgement of 15mm is awarded the dealer will have to pay out the remaining 14.9mm.

And if you've been on a jury you'll know that the law surrounding the crime is explained very carefully and the judge gives jurors extremely specific instructions on how to weigh the facts in the case against the relevant laws.

No, but they did change the filter the 2nd time. I checked when i got home...both times the oil was clean on the dipstick, and 1/2 way between the dipstick fill marks. It was was darker before they changed it.

And thats if both lawyers even consider you for the jury. I just tell both of them now when i go for jury duty that their client is guilty otherwise why would they be charged....the cops know what their doing. Next.

I wonder if there’s case for plausible deniability? Did the jeep owner actually give the keys to the person driving it? If not, he could claim that he gave the keys to a qualified driver, who then gave the keys to an unqualified driver unbeknownst to him. That puts it more in the realm of unauthorized driver.

Totally unacceptable and unprofessional handling of that car, but nothing in the video screams fried clutch. If that fried the clutch, it was made out of paper mache.

    UPDATE
At this time I’ve decided to try and work out a trade. No specifics at this time but my sales guy is looking around. All things considered, I believe this is my best path forward. We’ll see what they come up with.
