While both are dogs, and I don't really give a shit about 1/4 times for my truck, 5 mph in quarter is a pretty big difference esp for cars only trapping in the 80s or low 90s. You're running away from the other car at 5 mph advantage. It doesn't sound like much until you see it side by side.

It's pretty clear what happens here. The 4.0 gets out of the hole better and the 3.5 runs it down and passes it. But this entire argument is dumb...

A lot of post 2016 vehicles shift like the third gen Tacoma, shifting like that save on mpg and mpg are one the major selling points. my dads 2020 v6 Colorado shifts the same way.

It’s funny, so many 2nd genners or guys that hate 3rd gens, are waiting for these trucks to start breaking down left right and centre. They see threads like these and jump in right away. I notice the same guys in those threads.

It’s been 7 years and all good, typical Toyota reliability, as expected.

Tacoma owners should be united, but for some reason there is all this hate that’s not needed in this world.

It's not that. The issue is people that over glorify something to justify the money they spent on it.

3rd gen does a lot of things better than my 2nd gen. But the motor and trans are not one of them.

I’m sorry you have difficulties comprehending english, I know it’s tough.

But if you read what I wrote, I didn’t race anyone. I tried to pass dudes in 2nd gens and they didn’t let me. So I did what I had to do.

    Carry on.

You fall right into that category.

Currently have a broken shoulder so I'm typing with one hand.
