Coming from the man child who passes people in the slow lane with his 270 HP race tacoma.

Races are easy to win when the other person is just trying to commute to work haha. The clown is strong with you sir.

Hah. I was actually trying to find something wrong with my engine when I got my truck, after reading all this garbage on here. My biggest complaint was drive by wire lag and that I could never rev match properly.

I put deposit without test driving my truck. I knew what I was getting into and I still look for every excuse to go drive my truck. I grin every-time I get behind the wheel. Hopefully she will last me 20+ years.

Ya I think all the hardware is good, just a laggy/slushy tune, but a lot of vehicles are like that now. Also doesn't help that I'm running 33s without a regear....

I’m running true 33” and 4.30 gears are great to be honest. I lost some gearing in 6th on highway, but that’s better since I’m running slightly lower rpms now.

If I went with 35s then definitely 5.29s, but im not planning to. 33”s are plenty for me.

Can't we all just get along and bash on the 4 cylinders? Haha, they're so slow, it takes them 10 minutes to make a 10 minute drive.

Some great info in this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...rland-tailor-tuning-ott.759616/#post-27178127 with overlayed 1gr vs 2gr HP and torque charts, both stock as well as tuned. No better info you can get than this:

Stock HP - 1GR (Green) vs 2GR (Blue)
    And Torque:

Tuned HP- 1GR (Green) vs 2GR (Blue)

    And Torque:

The difference in low end torque is purely displacement. If the 2gr had the same displacement, it would be much, much quicker than a 1gr. However, to make up for lower displacement, you need to rev it out to get more power. You can also see peak torque is similar but comes on 1000rpm higher. This is because of much better airflow / direct injection. A 2gr stroker would be a blast. To flatten the 4500-7000rpm torque curve more, add some cams / porting / etc... these dyno's show that, from anything other than a 0-30mp race... the 2gr will demolish a 1gr. And it's purely displacement (and the torque converter stall speed).

It means that you are getting an engine that is capable of going 300,000 + miles with routine maintenance.

True, the extreme torque from my truck engine immobilizes me comfortably in my seat.

    Hahaha!

Like i said earlier, I had to get Recaro seats to keep me in place, the power of that 3.5 is too much to handle sometimes.
