    Right!!!

I had one of these and 6 batteries. I was a fiend for outlets so I could recharge the batteries lol86d72522-b1fd-4938-a7a0-c976ed162f6f.f2d8ee461c1cd1096342aadcb815d2e5.jpg

damn, that screen is no joke!

seeing the case apart reminds me of all the crystal aftermarket ones you used to be able to order off of ebay, in all the various color tints of clear that factory never offered

Fun fact - there were indeed several iterations of clear cases sold to the public. Only thing is, they were limited in number and available through a few retailers in certain regions.

For instance, the only factory 'transparent black' Gameboy Color released was only available in Japan at Toys R Us as a limited run. There were several other releases in the US only and other places.

Hell, there's even a Pink Gameboy Color but that one is rare as fuck.

Plugged my dad's old welder in and started fucking up some good scrap metal this afternoon... In gym shorts and flip flops because I had only intended to fix my weed wacker but that got boring

My Gameboy Light is my rare one of the bunch that I own.

There are many on Ebay and elsewhere, but they're missing battery covers, have issues, etc.

Mine's in great shape and everything functions as it should.

The Gameboy Light was a Japan-only variant which was essentially a Gameboy Pocket, but included an electroluminescent display and used AA batteries instead of AAA.

It's not going to well but my dad did warn me not to use the old flux core wire already in the machine. I figured it would be worth wasting while I practice on scraps

Because fluxcore just shields so much better (even though it's dirtier) it penetrates better with less chance of porosity versus solid wire and shielding gas.

We often cut a lot of stuff we weld and you should see our flux core welded steel.

You should add one to your collection, you'd be supporting the cause for me to get another welder :D

I've seen a few videos on YouTube that mention flipping the polarity when using flux core so I might try that and see if it helps.

    That sucks.

Those are cool Gameboys to own something like one of the Pokemon color games, or better yet (a personal favorite), Link's Awakening DX.
