He should be holding a fifth of tequila (cinco de mayo and all)
That would look great above the garage door!

    You would think so.

A coworker sent it to me because of the saying, May the fourth be with you (my b-day).

Kiddo better hurry up and come get it before it becomes mine.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that man. Glad y'all are alright and the new Rav is better! As someone who went to college in Boston though... I'm not surprised.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
That's a sad deal, and a crying shame. MI laws are swayed to favor businesses over individuals on a lot of areas. There was a law on the books to protect consumers against incorrect prices or over charging for an item. If the store was wrong, they owed the consumer the difference in the error and 10x the difference up to $5. Per occurrence. It was a big issue for consumers before computers were integrated. The law was over turned about 10 years ago, with the support of several business lobbies. Price tags are also not required anymore, just signage. Stinks for the consumer, but at least they aren't paying property tax on cars. Yet.

That… doesn’t sit well with me. There are loopholes in every law written. I’m not a lawyer, but being in the field of LE and observing court proceedings firsthand and going through that process, I don’t know… I’m not digging what was stated in that article. If you don’t know how to drive a manual transmission then you have absolutely no business getting behind the wheel of a 3,000 pound bullet, period.

The way the law is written, he can fight it and probably win if the dealership wins the appeal. The law says he's liable if he gives permission to the offender. He didn't, he gave it to the service writer who the assigned it to someone else. But he needs his own lawyer, not the dealerships lawyer.

Not to mention that the offender could be sued civilly, individually. That’s a sad situation altogether.

In short they do, but they won't let us buy it back. Which has also given them leeway to tack on all kinds of fees and crap.

We were going to buy it back at one point, but they wanted three times what I could get a new one for.

The wife and I hate the company, but were directed their way by the builder.

    We're getting the AG involved.

I'm surprised dealerships offer test drives in that state.

I wonder who is considered the legal owner of a vehicle that has yet to be sold? The dealership? the manufacturer? Maybe there is a law that addresses this. What would happen if a prospective buyer caused a fatal accident while on a test drive?
