    If a cat doesn't like what's to eat they will turn their back to the food, scratch their paw on the ground once or twice by the dish like they're burying their poop then walk away.

    When a cat drinks water from a bowl they will knead the ground by the bowl as they drink - mimicking what they did as kittens when they nursed from the mom's teat. The kneading of mom's tummy caused the milk to flow for them to drink.

    At least that's what they've told me! ;)

    Thanks so much everyone! Haven’t updated because we were trying to get some answers. After not getting a call back (not our regular vet…..we had taken him to an emergency vet) for a couple of days we went and parked our butts at the office until they were able to talk to us.

    Good news….at 14 years old his blood work came back very good. :)

    They are thinking he had a stroke due to very high blood pressure. They really don’t know. He has improved a bit and is able to walk short distances. He looks like he is drunk. They think (there’s a lot of guesswork going on) he just needs time to rehabilitate.

    I’ll be honest, when I told you guys, I was sure we were going to be saying our goodbyes to him. I don’t think it’s his time yet, thankfully!!!!

    Again, thanks so much for pulling for him….it’s working.
