I don't know about Dynas not being "long distance" bikes. I always figured its the jockey on the seat that limits the bike; not the other way around.

The seat/backrest are detachable. Give me a bit and I'll get some pics with and without posted up.

    Edit to add pics

    With Backrest

    Without Backrest

Backrest Alone - it simply slides/stabs into its mount (think male/female setup)

    Wow - that is awesome!

Right now I have a list of about 2k worth of stuff that I am adding to it, including:
    - S.E. Tuner
    - V&H Big Shots Staggered Black
    - S.E. Ventilator Performance Air Intake
    - Couple of cosmetic changes (grips, mirrors, etc.)

As the engine ages, I will up grade it to a 103" or 110''...

    Great looking pipes!

Quick question - do you see any issues with what I am planning on putting on it?

That rocks man... Thanks for you insight. The V&H I am getting are the staggered black ones, not the chrome - but I have heard the same things about the chrome.

This being my first Harley, I am just doing the proper research before I pull the trigger on the mods.

If your talking about riding for a couple of hours I have to say be careful of the loudness of your pipes. I used to have some V&H slash cut pipes that were fun pipes around town. The only downside was that I was half deaf after riding for an hour. I swapped over to some D&D Fat Cats and picked up more torque and a smooth muscle car mellow sound (until I get on it and then they get loud). They are a little soft on my Evo, but on a Twinkie they are tits.

I haven't had my bike on a dyno yet, but I do know that it idles better and vibrates less at 70 mph than before. In reality that is what matters most to me!

    +1 for D&D

    Bad ass... Love the mods!

    Thanks man!

I feel that... But. where I work there are a lot of nice cars owned by assholes - and I kind of want to roll around and set off car alarms. Does that make me a bad person? LOL

Kidding - at least, half kidding anyway...

I know the feeling. I enjoyed it for a while too! I can still set off car alarms, I just can't do it when I'm idling through the parking lot. If your just looking for a bike to ride around on short trips ( <1hr ) you'll be fine.

Have you found HDForums.com yet? Lots of good folks and info on there, similar to this one. I'm "O.F." over there and post just as much BS as on here.:)

I'm BULLK9 there... But they block it here at work for some reason. TW ok, HFforums not... I'll never understand their IT policies.
