4hi will get it off the line quicker but then it accelerates slower ... right? I'm not set up for street (new tires but they're A/Ts @35psi, open diff & squishy suspension).

For what it's worth, this morning a TRX pulled up next to me at the stoplight in the lane that ended soon, and he had to merge behind me :D. That 700hp sure sounded great though.

No center diff locked with rear locked in 4lo. That was the first time dining something that aggressive in a manual transmission. Lol!

Eh yes but imo it's negligible since power is still being sent to both ends and I haven't seen drivetrain losses on a 4wd Dyno. Not saying it isn't there but the time gained by a hooked up launch vs just spinning will always win imo unless you're gonna be running dot drag radials. Trx is nice but the top speed is limited greatly because of the tires.

Hey y’all quick question for my o2 sensor dilemma.

Obviously I’ll get a code but will there be any major issues starting the truck without a sensor plugged in? It’ll literally just sit in my garage idling (assuming it starts hehe)

The other option is to cut and lengthen it myself but I’d prefer to avoid that if possible. I just wanna crank this dang truck!!!

    Direct injection?

    Why so much build up?

Might have enough slack, if you unclip the harness? Perhaps. Only if it still isn't under tension.

Have you ordered extensions yet, and a bung?

Oh gosh does that saying, "purring like a kitten" bring back some haunting memories of a nightmare customer I had to deal with once when I was working. :crapstorm:

In your case I'm glad she sings again!

    A successful freaking night y’all.

    No leaks
No weird noises, headers are a bit louder than the factory ones
No weird pressure spikes in the cooling system
No smoke coming out of the exhaust
No CEL lights (aside from the one leaving the o2 unplugged)
    Coolant temps nominal

This motor is direct and port injected (1each for every piston for a total of 12 injectors). System works pretty good as a whole. Pretty sure 2017 is the first year this was introduced on the F150 3.5L Ecoboost.

This Carbon build-up is a one-off, I don't have an explanation yet. Top of the piston was thick and had flaky carbon, never experienced this kinda build-up before. The rings won't budge, even with force from a pick. Took a good while of cleaning and scraping to find the gap in the middle ring. The piston just kinda slid out without much resistance, shows how closed the rings were. And the top of the head/valves appears fine.
