In another thread @lferrara asked me if the red dots on the tires were supposed to go on the valve stem.
I hadn't heard about that so I looked into it and found this:

The red and yellow dots are used when mounting.

Something I noticed on my tires is that the red and yellow dots very from tire to tire and to each other.

 

Unfortunately, almost no tire shops actually use those markings If you find a shop that does use them you've probably found a detail oriented shop that actually cares about doing things right.

 

Picked up a set, 285/75/16. So far so good... No real world experience with them yet, but will be sure to report back once i do.

 

What PSI is everyone airing down to when offroading?

 

Depends on terrain, if its just forest roads i run them around 20. Lowest i've gone is probably around 8-10 in some deep snow

 

I usually start at 20 like @NWTacoTime . It's soft enough to flex over things a bit, but still good for a little road driving.

I've gone down to 15, but plan on trying 10-12 in some situations this year. I think around 8 would be the bare minimum I'd run without beadlocks.

im getting the same issue. what did you do to solve your problem? ive been looking for a mount to relocate them vertically

 

1" Wheel spacers. Instead of 4.5" BS, I'm at 3.5" BS. I'd much rather be at 4" BS, but it is what it is.

Nice. They look larger than 265s.

 

Garage pics acceptable. You can control the lighting and less chance of sun in the camera effect.

 

I was thinking the same thing! They're so meaty looking, it must create an illusion.

Here's my contribution.

I've drove these tires for about 2,000 miles. I can say for sure that they're noisy, as any other mud tire you'll hear the humming as you increase the speed. These are 255/85/R16 I really like the fact that they're VERY tall which gives me additional clearance and narrow which means they don't rub at all.

If I could go back I think I'd buy BFGoodrich A/T 265's just because of the noise. I haven't tested these tires but I've had TOYO Open Country M/T which have a very similar treat pattern and if they're anything like the TOYO (in this size) they're absolutely awesome in mud, water and gravel.

Also, these tires will deplete your mpg for sure (I know I have lots of weight), I have a tune on my Tacoma but I still get 13mpg tops.
