Spend ~$300 and get one of the tunes loaded onto your truck. There are people that will meet you and do it for you instead of having to buy the software yourself. It completely transforms the truck and was the only reason I have kept mine.

There are 100,000 posts and complaints on this already. Search the forum. There are tunes or possible TSB updates, but for the most part that is the way it is. Take it in under warranty repair and they will probably tell you there is nothing wrong. Sorry to be blunt but if you can't live with it, get something else. Welcome by the way and Happy Friday.

From my experience, the only way you’ll ever be satisfied with your truck is to get a good tune.

I’m running KDmax and am very happy with it. There are other tunes out there with good reviews as well. Do some research and get it done asap.

I have had my 2021 TRD Sport now for 11 months and no issues with transmission shifting, cruise works great up or downhill etc. Never had it tuned and never will. Sorry that maybe you got a lemon did you take it back to the dealer and what do they say. Curious to hear.

I've had my Sport bought new since May 14, 2021. No issues.

EDIT: My anniversary is coming up!

    Time for Raptor Lights install.

Just like your truck learns your driving habits, you have to learn the truck too. Learn how to drive it and you will be a lot happier. Get a tune and drive the truck the way it wants to be driven...you will love it then.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:
Drive it for a few months, you and the truck will learn each others quirks and things will settle down.

it takes a long time for the transmission to learn properly and you shouldn't be using cruise control yet

FLOOR IT! Use S-Mode! Use ECT! Do not lug low rpms with the engine, it's not designed to run that way.

Hate to tell you this it is normal the more gears the more it will shift then throw a lockup converter into the mix for even more fun and games. You could have a Ford 10 speed automatic. fords-new-transmission-proves-far-from-tough/#:~:text=Ford%20began%20receiving%20complaints%20about,give%20the%20car's%20occupants%20whiplash.

I lug mine, and it doesn’t have erratic shifting. Actually impressed it can run around at 1100-1500 rpm for 99% of the driving I do.
