Under my VSPEC it shows that my truck is not presold, but I have a deposit down on it... Anyone know how that works?

That might or might not update to reflect your deposit, mine took a bit to show as presold.

I see! I just called my dealer and he said I'm totally locked in on it and it is presold to me. So that is all I needed.

Mine has been the same for what it's worth. Had a similar discussion with salesman and was told not to worry about it.

Yeah, I get that - but $20k is insane and $10k is even a little nuts. I'm willing to do, say, $2500? Maybe $5k? but... that's just me.

Like some others on here, I don't REQUIRE the truck RIGHT NOW. So while I understand requesting ADM, there is only so much ADM I am willing to pay...

Yes, of course if you can find a dealer that has a pretty reasonable ADM, then yeah go for it. I just think that especially with the TRD Pro's, these dealers would be marking up like crazy because they know the very high demand and really low supply, even more so compared to a non-TRD Pro. But good luck with your search, I hope you find one sooner than later!

I stumbled across an EL Pro in my area a couple weeks ago marked up 15K. 20K is definitely a new record so far as what I've seen. I imagine it's going to get worse before it gets better with all the slowdowns.

    Congrats!

If your dealer doesn't have the permanent VIN, you can probably watch their website. Can take a few days, but your vehicle will likely appear there soon at which point you can use the specs/price to match it up and infer your new VIN.

It's currently in "A" status, which means it's still in Mexico being built.

I read somewhere that SE Toyota VIN# don't always show up on v-spec for some reason. I get the "page not found" on mine.

Is this a new build? Looks like that was the temp VIN. You should have the permanent VIN if you check the dealer's website or reach out to your sales person. Otherwise, it may take a few days for the new VIN to populate the system.

That's the permanent VIN#. Week 13 build (obviously not built week 13) temp VIN# was 3TMDZ5BN5NM13C175

Got a notification about 30m ago in the app that my doors were unlocked. First time was about a week ago when she got off the train. Status changed from F to G shortly afterwards, so it sounds like she's on her way to the dealership!

Nice! hopefully you get it this weekend.
BTW, I added my VIN to the Toyota app but mine doesn't even show any mileage yet and no data found in Vehicle Status. Is there anything special I need to do after adding the VIN?

Thanks! I have to travel to pick mine up and may actually end up waiting a couple weeks so that the travel coincides with a work trip, but we'll see. If they called right now, I'm not prepared to act like I wouldn't just drive up there tomorrow. :bananadance:

I don't think you need to do anything else. I got my VIN after the vehicle had already gotten on a train, so it was stuck in 'F on V-spec. I had it added in my app the whole time.

Others seem to have had a different experience, but for me I only got data for mileage & tire pressure after the truck got off the train. I wouldn't have known if not for the notification about doors being unlocked. Rod later confirmed that it had gotten off the train is the only reason I know that the metrics coincided with that train offload event.

It seemed to sit idle all week wherever the train unloaded, and then another door unlock notification signaled the shift from F => G.

    Good luck!
