If the engineers thought we needed better floor mats they would have built them! No one needs weather techs!!! I don't understand this fascination with "upgrading" things that were made to be the way they were!!!!!

Honda forum argues whether or not they need floor mats at all... I was cleaning my Mom's CR-V the other day (mother's day and whatnot) and I swear the carpet underneath the floor mats is just leftover felt from JoAnn fabrics. It's terrible and it holds all the grime and muck

 

Have you seen those factory charged Regal GS that people mod?

Think the point Danny was pushing is that, corded will outperform cordless by a longshot.

Really, it's very well known and acknowledged (by many of us here included). Corded will outperform as they'll pull way more current than a battery can ever provide.

Those 3600 II series motors are pretty reliable though. Granted they don't make much power and it's a GM motor

 

Yeah he's not wrong, I have a cordless Makita... I bought it thinking it would be good for light jobs. I mean sure it can cut 2x4s but that's asking a bit much from it. It would be good for cedar fencing and light woods. Anyway I haven't touched the cordless saw in 6 years now haha. But in fairness I've probably only used the Ryobi 10 or so times since, but it was enough of a demand that I didn't want to put up with the cordless despite the little amount of use I get out of a circ saw at all.

 

And I think he misunderstood that, because I can acknowledge just as well that corded is superior.

At the old house though, I really needed a cordless saw a few times over small projects. I flat out did away with doing a few of those, and the ones I did, i
I borrowed a cordless.

 

Nothing wrong with having both, I'm sure I'll find something in the attic or maybe out on the shop roof that needs cutting at some point and it's still good to have the cordless around for that. I just wouldn't bring it out for a full project.

 

On another note, my extra rear shock bolts are here.

Got some for the LC just in case the OEM pair break.

 

You talking about the top mount bolts? Mine were a bitch to remove, replaced em with Grade 10.9 flange head bolts

Top I was going to go with 10.9 as well. I remember you making a comment about them way back.

Edit: really the bolts should be easy to remove seeing that the KYBs have very few miles.

 

I got lucky my bottom ones have come out easily both times I've needed to remove them, they're the same as the tacoma lower ones for the rear too if you have extra of those floating around.

always makes me lol when someone thinks that eternally old oil from the factory is better than the cheapest modern Autozone/Walmart gear oil

I was having one of those moments where you just follow a train of thought to the end during a project farm video where he tested old engine oil.... we were making engines that withstood shitty oil of the time and really engine parts didn't get better (well some certainly did) but our lubrication game got on point. That's probably the biggest reason why an old inline six or SBC can run over 100k reliably now.

 

Here's a good analogy to that

 

Lil trailer feels like a lot going up steeper parts of the road, feels a lot harder to go 80
