Thanks. We pushed it a few days and we may leave to come home a day earlier depending? Our cat sitter moved to Alabama so my folks are going to come by and feed them and give Mack his pill. I know he won’t come out for the first two days. Even with our cat sitter who he had known his whole life he did this. If there is any change we will head straight home. Not ideal circumstances but the vet has assured us that he just needs time and he really does seem to have made great improvements. I’m really shocked and so, so happy.
    Thanks. How’s your gang doing?
    Thanks. :D

Yeah, rainy here too. It's been an all day rain and the ground is really soaked. Good news for the well and grass. Not good news for the mower or the little dog who won't walk in the rain.

'evening peeps. I got another pic from another horrendous "installation" from the buffon at work. This guy has been at this company for over 35 years. It absolutely boggles me that he has been allowed to operate like this. Todays challenge was to fit a drive gear over a polished stub on a large shaft. ( the same one that he had to replace because he damaged the 1st one. He managed to ding the replacement one and smash the threads on the end of the shaft while jamming it into the frame of the machine yesterday.) This morning I saw him using a hammer ( his favorite installation tool) and a piece of key stock as a punch to force on a locking shaft nut because he wouldn't use the spanner wrench and he couldn't get it to thread past the smashed threads. I just took over and used a thread chaser filer and got the threads back into good enough condition to hand thread the locking nut back on. This got him even more pissed off. Then he tried to slip on a big gear over the end of the shaft and it wouldn't skip on, so after beating on it for 10 minutes with a hammer, he pulled the gear off and did this to it.

Yup, a carbide grinder bit on a air grinder. He then smashed this onto the shaft and called it good. I was going to mark up the end of the shaft with a sharpie ( they don't have an Prussian blue layout paste, so a black sharpie would have worked well enough. A few minutes with a honing stone would have taken down the bur from when the idiot smashed the shaft into the frames.

    Good evening everyone,

Sup! Not me, too far away. :D

Glad that your cat is doing better. The animals in our lives are a blessing

We had some storms roll across GA as well. Got a little sporty for a few hours.

    Sweet!

Good grief, what a hammer mechanic you got there. o_O
