That's a horrible idea. What time?
We did a trail over there on a Saturday. The trail was nice, but the traffic absolutely sucked. Like my commute with an accident thrown in sucked.

That's a cool area. It's got a crunchy, hippie vibe, but it's got a ton of great food/drink and a lot of really cool sights to see!

Don't have any but refer all my crew to Blossman to get the referral bonus of 25gals for them and me. If you are Public Safety you get Blossman Propane for their cost + 10% making propane 2.09$ per gals (on my last Feb refill).

It’s a good trail, there are quite a few good ones in that area. Most of it is pretty well documented too so it’s easy to find your way around.

Are you under contract with them? If not, not sure if you could just abandon in place and go with another supplier? I think it’s ValleyGas over there by Osborn high school is where I used to get my B tanks refilled, but haven’t been there in years.
My neighbor has propane, but the upright tanks that sit on the side of his house. I was going to do the same, but since we are renting a year I ended up getting an electric fireplace for the few times it was in the teens and single digits this past winter.

I'd agree if you're trying to stay more north. We were at the Grand Canyon (north and south) and it was an easy detour on the way to Winslow and Petrified Forest. The trail we did was nice, but you can see the same formations and get the same trails up north.

You won't be far from Moab. It's almost part of Arches. And maybe you can make a call while you're out there.

I honestly don't know, but we're checking around and per gallon costs aside, everyone is about the same. All these places will only lease tanks. And then charge extra if you don't fill a certain amount of times a year.

We have Amerigas, they don't make you sign a contract and they give you the option to lease or provide your own tanks. We decided to lease. They came out the week after Thanksgiving and dropped off the tanks, but they were only about 25% full. It took forever to get them to come out and do the next 2 refills, got down to about 5% each time, daily calls, and some pucker factor since it was below freezing temps. The third fill up they came without us having to call with about 25% left, but of course it was spring by then. Customer service will tell you what you want to hear but there is no accountability or follow-through. That's the only problem we've had, the rates are competitive (much better than Thompson Gas, our previous supplier).

I looked in the nature center I was talking about on Moose Wilson Road near Tetons NP. While we enjoyed the trip and day hikes, there is construction planned on the southern end of the road. Links below.

Based on their customer service, I would not recommend them. I wish we had tried one of the smaller suppliers around here, but we hadn't heard of any others at the time we made the order. Thompson Gas pissed us off last winter because they more than doubled the propane per gallon cost during the winter, citing propane shortages in Japan that they were helping out with or some kind of BS like that. The funny thing is when we called to cancel our service and we told her why, she was literally dumbfounded and stopped trying to talk us out of cancelling.

Yeah. We had never had had propane so we just went with who the builder pushed us to. They're always been higher per gallon than everyone else. Their policies change every year and they don't tell you. On and on. We called the attorney general about them yesterday. They were aware of their BS. Said they had just forced them to sell a tank to a homeowner. And if that doesn't work Holzman is pretty cheap to dig the tank up and swap.

I'm sure it's the county that says to bury them. The builder wouldn't have gone the extra mile if he didn't have to.
