@eon_blue Do you all typically go to Venice/SM for beach days or over to Malibu or somewhere else?

That’s nice! this Hobart 210 says like 5/50 on 1/4” material but 3/30 or 4/35 seems to work best. What is up with that? Have you used one? I’ve been having an issue w it lately. Idk if it’s a power problem from the 10/2 wire or me.

Malibu or further north to Ventura. Fuck Santa Monica and Venice lol. Wayyyy too crowded

When I was younger we'd go hang out on the Venice boardwalk sometimes but I don't have the patience for that many people anymore

Shitty. I'm still about a year out of moving back east and until we're closer the company isn't going to settle on a shop space.. and we can't settle on property until then cause I don't want to be driving a shit ton just to get to work

Probably have to rent for a year or two after the company settles before actually buying property.

Plus I'm waiting for the market to crash for a better deal on land lol

Is that one of those machines with preset voltages?

I despise those, though that doesn't mean you can't weld well with it.

For instance, vertical up on that thick stuff was around 18.5 for my root, and low 17's for my cover.

Vertical down I was mid-17s and dropped down to 16.9-17.1 for my cover pass.

Oh shit. I didn’t know you were relo w a company. That’s cool. Yeah I’m trying to decide if I should put myself through hell to sell my house and build on my property basically living w my mother. I’m feeling like things are gonna be real bad. Hoping not for another 6 months but it’s looking like 3.

With MIG, you just lower the voltage a little. That and you'll want to go to a close 90 degree to push wire and fill your root.

With stick, especially 308L stainless rods, you're going from 125V (flat) down to 60V. Drastic difference especially on stainless steel.

I saw a wtb thread for cv axles and literally spent like 5 min trying to figure out where I put my cv’s. Then I realized the 2wd truck I hacked up didn’t have any. That’s my life. I even lose parts I don’t even have. Wtf.
