'22 TRD tailgate badging

I’m trying to find some information on the proper location to place a TRD Sport emblem on my Tacoma tailgate. I have the all-black badging package and wanted to add the all-black TRD Sport badge as well. Unfortunately, Toyota doesn’t supply any measurement information. Various YouTube videos show the door placement emblem, (2-inches over and 1-inch down), but I’m interested in measurements for the tailgate that compliments the V6 logo. Any input would be appreciated.

 

Not a ‘22 but I added this OE TRD badge after I removed all bedside badges.

 

You are not going to find it because it was never put there by the factory.

 

Sports aren't badged on the tailgate. They have bedside decals.

It's up to the artist to badge their tailgate as they please.

 

First of all, the badging hasn't changed over the course of the 3rd generation. The specific badges depend on the trim level. For example, my 2021 TRD Sport didn't have a badge that said "Sport" -- only decals on the sides of the bed (which I promptly took off). Officially, the Sport only has the "Tacoma" badges on the doors, and the "V6" badge on the tailgate.

If you want to add other badges, you are on your own. I added a "TRD" badge to the grille:

I had a black plastic eBay TRD badge on my 2020 Off Road. I'll see if I can find a pic for you. I just kinda eyeballed where it should go.
