I wanted to go with the -38 offset and was able to get the Gen5's. I like the wider stance it has now. I was doing a lot of looking around and -38 offset with the 35's looked like it was gonna be a bit of a headache to fit. the current new setup will still most likely rub a little when compressed but the 35's wouldve been rubbing in the parking lot.

also.. I just drove from Florida to North Carolina on the 35 M/T's and averaged 10.8mpg so that hurt haha on my drive home from work last night with the Ridge Grapplers I managed 19.5mpgs (usually about 15.2 with previous setup on same commute)

I assume you have a new Tacoma and toyota care. The scheduled interval per Toyota is 5k miles or 6 months. Why is the dealer scheduling you for 10k? Something’s amiss with that. Do what Toyota wants you to do, not that dealer. Besides it’s free and you don’t want to mess with your warranty by not following the recommended intervals.

Scheduled maintenance is every 6 months or 5k miles. Oil changes are not part of every one. I believe they are done every 10k under normal driving conditions per Toyota's schedule.

It’s a brand spank a new Tacoma and I will tell them I want it done at 5000 miles. I don’t wanna take a chance because I’m going to get it changed shortly before I head to South Carolina.

I stand corrected. I was looking at the suggestion but 10k is too much, arguable, nevertheless my dealer is doing oil changes at the 5k interval against Toyota care. So it’s a bit odd.

Where I live Toyota Care is 2 years or 25,000 miles of service. Essentially, it's two oil changes based on MFG recommendations of 10,000 miles and wheel rotations every 5000 or 6 months. My dealer had no problem with changing my oil at 5,000 miles, but they were clear that after my 2 oil changes only tire rotations would be left for the remainder of the 2 years or 25,000 miles.

Change the oil as often as you want, it won't affect your warranty. I highly recommend using only Toyota approved oils and filters if you or anybody other than Toyota does your oil changes. Keep track of what you use and what inspections you perform in the owners manual.

I know, I know, they can't deny your warranty repair using non approved oil or filter, but why take the chance of denial and have to fight with the dealer (ask me how I know).

Well still in the middle of the install, but my Baja Designs 5XL Linkable light bar showed up. Installed that as well as the BD fog lights. Now in the middle of wiring and installing my Switch Pro to get everything functioning. Next up is replacing the stereo (had all that for a couple months as well)…..

just a heads up that you're gonna want the SP mounted vertically or they won't warranty anything on it.

You can also buy the K&N washable cabin air filter. I purchased mine 3 years ago and still looks brand new. All you have to do is wash/clean it and let it dry and re-install. No more buying on cabin air filters. Saved me money for other mods.

    Oh look, another mod....
I was tired of getting the occasional glare off the shifter area, so I installed this: TVDVinylDecals They had a few colors to choose from. I chose matte black, so it would blend in well with the console. It went on pretty easy and so far, I like it:

Installed Spidertrax spacers today. Tires were rubbing on the UCA. After I installed them, the tire rubbed on the mud flaps. So those had to go as well!

It's up to you. The 1k mile [break-in] engine oil change is optional and not something Toyota officially suggest. I always do an engine break-in oil change on all my vehicles I've owned (cars, trucks, motorcycles). Plus, I enjoy doing it :)
