This is what I did. I combined the puddle pods with my speaker upgrade and sound deadening the doors.

I picked up one of these grabber tools and it worked like a charm for fishing the wire through the boot… And up to the A pillar behind the dash.

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/GrabEas...emover-Drain-Snake-in-Chrome-PF0406/301034862

Driver side definitely took longer than the passenger side. Unplugging the connectors in the footwell is helpful and some people have said that they used WD40 or dish soap to make things slide through the boot better.
Just take your time and be patient. It took pretty much an entire afternoon with the speakers and sound deadening but it wasn’t too bad. But it’s been a few years so my memory isn’t the freshest.

Is there some kind of wiring diagram to use/add the V5 turn sig with the puddle light wires? I see that there’s 1 extra connector for it. I might also get the V5 turns while still available…TIA

damn, I didn’t think of that.

I really want an amp and speakers, but no idea on what to get and don’t want to spend the time to create a harness. I reached out to taco tunes and waiting to hear back.

shit, I’ll pay someone to make me a pnp harness.

I want these puddles to function like they do normally with unlock and proximity but with an activation and deactivation that ties to the switch pros to turn on and off as needed. I also want the v5s to run off the drl stalk and act as normal drl. I have the footwells too. Kinda overwhelmed with the job and feeling a bit lazy. Thinking about just paying for the labor but don't trust anyone enough to not screw it up. What a mess.

I know when I installed the vled footwell lights I couldn’t get it to work, since I had the interior lights switch off via the entune head unit that was the problem, so… wouldn’t that work as a switch for the pod lights too as they’re connected to the same circuit

the install is not hard, just tedious. Getting thorough the stock boot is the hardest. My best suggestion is to unplug all door connections in the kick panel(battery disconnected obviously) then you can pull the entire door jamb boot out and have it more accessible to route the wire. Tape the new end onto a coat hanger or zip tie and spray some water or soap solution on the end. Slides through like butter!
Looks great! Switches are in production as we speak. Takes a while as they are custom made/laser engraved.

So we have to use 2 splitters if we have the footwell lights already? One for the footwell lights and the other for pods. I guess i can undo the wire tap from the doors since I can plug the v5s in the pods now, correct?

Since I already have the V5s installed, is there anything I should or can do differently than what’s on the instal instructions? Maybe I missed something.
The V5s work perfectly and have not had any issues.

No need if they are working as you want. Did you use the headlight splitter to tap for V5? If so, that’s the best place to tap for DRL as it functions as a true DRL circuit.
I haven’t looked into the footwell lights, but from what I have seen is they are wired similar to where my puddles connect. So yes, you would need a secondary splitter to essentially make a 1–>3

Pods take a while, could be 4 hours, could be 2. But like meso says its not hard just tedious.

For users with a switchpro I will draw a diagram using a simple relay that will allow them to work as intended but then have control with the SP as well.

Thanks @MESO and yes I have the splitter. Actually have the splitter to @daveeasa Led headlight harness to the OEM LED headlights I added lol.

Thanks for that advice and it’s good to know.

My my, what’s this contraption we have here? Running multiple lights and coolers that you need a 100amp breaker? I dig it, you wired this all by yourself?
