Got the chance to pick up one of these at heaven hill after a tasting. Definitely different and borderline too much for me but it is very good.

I have the same issue. Too many distillers use wine style bottles. Wine is best stored on its side, spirits, not so much.

I would have loved to see what a derby Blanton’s looks like.

Went on a Japanese buying spree. Wednesday is the usual day TW gets new stock in, but I couldn't get there until Thursday. I've been looking for the Shin 15 (at TW retail, not high secondary retail) for some time. They didn't have it on the shelf, but when I asked they went in the back and brought one out. I also picked up the Shin NAS to compare (it's roughly 40% less $).

I googled it as soon as i saw it mentioned on here. Only thing that came up was a small (375ml) bottle with a gold sticker on it. Though it did have a cool box. If you find a different pic post it up. Id love to see it too.

Even at $105 that’s a lot for me to spend on a bottle.

From what I saw it’s the box that’s unique.

I’m pretty sure they are sold without boxes or netting

Confusion might be from some of the unique stickers the past two years. Bandaid on back of 21 mask on 20 and 19 and 22 normal.

Too many bourbons in this thread for my taste - Scotch for me!

A wee dram of Caol Ila 12 is my go-to for something really special. It has an almost refreshing way about it while still being a hardy Islay.

I once had a dram of Clynelish 14 in Aberdeen that for whatever reason, on that day, in that pub, with my then fiance, was simply the most wonderful bit of liquor that ever crossed my lips.
