Looks interesting. They say for a 20 unit purchase you can get custom logos and badges. That would make a great Tacoma World group buy version.

It’s the same thing as a Jasper warranty motor... they don’t last

    It says $3800 after shipping

who is going to buy this
    1GRFEs don’t break. That’s why you didn’t buy a 3rd gen. Their motors break.

a slow basic 15 year old 220hp V6 is not worth $3800. Probably $1k max.
I don’t trust Chinese parts and have bad experiences with them

you can buy a used one locally to clean up, with warranty, and potentially build it for more power.
Or, if you have a spare motor, welder, and time, you can simply choose a different motor with more power to build and swap. The engine bay has enough room for it.

you could put a tundra or old 4Runner V8 to keep it simple. Maybe supercharged

I’d never put anything in my truck other than OE. I’d rather have a 300k mile 1grfe than a 0 mile jasper

Hehe, they don’t swim themselves over ;)

while we’re crapping on Jasper here (unless anyone wants to praise them), what have you all done for tranny rebuilds? Local shop? Vendor? I KNOW someone’s going to comment on some bad ass tranny upgrade, but please also comment on ones/thoughts with 4x4 compatibility
