I have an aftermarket tune that makes driving (shifting logic specifically) very enjoyable. I have added weight, lift, big tires, etc. etc. Going back to stock shifting logic it's a step back in my opinion and not something I want. I held buying the SC for months waiting for this tune to be released. I don't mind waiting a little more time for the YW tune.

Sure I want the extra bit of boost from the SC but driving experience with the tune I have much better than having the SC and OEM shifting logic. For me at least.

I was doing somewhat the same but I got tired of having the boxes take up space in my Garage so I put the SC on a couple weekends ago. I will say that what the SC brings it is almost negated by the horrible tune in regards to the slopping shifting at weird times. It seems just when you start to build boost it it taken away by a bad shift. I am anxiously await a new tune.

@mZiggy Will there be an upgrade path for 90mm->87mm pulleys. buy the 90mm now and switch to 87mm for free/small charge?

I've been waiting since last year for this tune to arrive so waiting a little more is not going to make a difference. Luckily, I purposely waited on buying the SC until just a few weeks ago. That way I wouldn't get to install anxiety mode looking at the boxes every day in my garage.

I'm trying to aim for a release date for the 90mm pulley of the 21st. Gotta get the tunes built across the various ecu's.

UPDATE [sort of] on YotaWerx Tuning MagSC tune:

Still trying to aim for a release date of May 21st for the 90mm pulley supercharger tune. Been spending long hours to get through building the tunes for the ecu versions, and I am also exploring the idea of two throttle response options.

Some bugs with the datalogger with the recently updated VF1.6 software mean that the 87mm tune may be a slightly delayed, but shouldn't be much further behind still. The tune had been progressing alongside the 90mm tune and pretty much just needs verification with possible tweaking of AFR and ignition, followed by dyno day.

VFTuner is aware of the datalogger bug and is working on a fix.

Further update on the YotaWerx Tuning MagSC tune:

EDITED to update introductory price duration upon launch.

    Price:
Upon initial launch on May 21st, the introductory price for the 90mm Pulley tune for the first 12 hours will be $500USD. This will run from 0700 - 1900 MST.

Following those 12 hours, it will become regular price of $700USD.

Please be prepared to fill out, sign, and return the YotaWerx Tuning waiver prior to receiving the tune. Providing your vehicle's VIN is required. Failure to provide these items will result in YotaWerx Tuning declining to proceed further with the transaction. If these items are provided after the initial 12-hour window has expired, eligibility for the promotional pricing will be forfeit.

This is set for the 90mm pulley, since that is the pulley size that comes with the Magnuson supercharger kit by default. Everyone should have the 90mm pulley, even if it was never installed due to wanting to run the 87mm pulley.

During the tune release, orders will only be accepted via our email (yotawerxtuning@gmail.com). This will assist us in keeping track of customers and keeping inquiries in one place.

The 87mm pulley tune will be an additional $50USD. Once released, it can be packaged with the 90mm option, but since they'll be getting released separately, existing 90mm customers can of course reach out to get it when released.

We will accommodate requests for tire size, regear, and AGM settings. We already do so for several of our testers. Tunes will be available in gearlock versions as well (ECT + S-mode). As stated in the post above, we are also exploring two different throttle response options.

Like on the NA side, updates to the tune made by YW will be made available to existing customers for free. If we announce an update, reach out to receive it.

If you are running a snorkel, modification may be required. I don't know if this is the case for every snorkel brand, but the ones run by @SK808 and @virginiamarine were noted to require modification due to their design significantly restricting airflow, enough so that boost was severely limited, sometimes even non-existent. This is something we've noticed with some snorkels on the NA side as well.

This community deserves a big thank you for the patience and support that has been given to YW. It sounds cliche but we really couldn't have reached this point without it. 10 testers from all over the US, literally hundreds of hours spent on every aspect of the tune... it's all come a long way from where we started out back in early October last year. Thank you.

Is this one of those things where I'm gunna have to stay up til midnight and send an email as the clock strikes midnight? Lmao!

Will both throttle response options be available with a single purchase? Or how does that work? (I know it's still tentative, but just curious if more than one IS offered, how would it work)

Just saw this edit. If we do it, it'll be set up like a tune pack, sort of like how we do our NA tunes. So yes, both with a single purchase.

@mZiggy Congratulations, to you, your team, and all of us !! Great news.

Any possibility that you could change the opening discount to something like "all orders paid in full within the first hour, must include VIN, (VIN changes will cancel the discount)" or sim. even if this means jacking up the entry price $50?

I have a feeling that there will be a real scramble, and I for one, will be disappointed if I get trampled by the crowed. By the look of some on this string, there is libel to be a fist fight amongst the crowd forming overnight at the door. :curls:

It crossed my mind to just send payment already; the only thing that stopped me is that @mZiggy has been such a stand up guy, that I fear it would just make him perform a whole lot of additional effort, sorting, communicating and refunding. He deserves better!

That effort would be wasted, instead of building us more great Tunes.

I will try to restrain myself. That is the most that I can commit to right now, "will Try".

    This is a decent idea.

I'm not sure if there's an ideal method. It occurred to me before to do some sort of deposit system, but I think the result will ultimately be the same. Still might do it, but that's why for the time being I was thinking I'd just announce the release date and that would give people enough advance notice. The same would probably have to happen for a deposit system.

It also occurred to me to set a specific time based on my time zone, but not everyone may be available at that time, so that doesn't seem viable either.

I'm certainly open to suggestions. Your additional suggested specifics aren't far off from what I'd planned to announce anyway. VIN and ECU ID/version will be required, failure to provide these up front will bump the individual because I cannot provide a tune without the info. I *could* be provided with a model year, but it won't be sufficient really.

This is because originally I was thinking I would only support the most up-to-date ECU versions. However, I'm moving away from this because of rumors of increased chance of ECU bricking for a certain ECU version (unconfirmed if this has been fixed/addressed), a number of people who have expressed concern about not having their Magnuson tune to fall back on if necessary, and a number of people who have expressed unwillingness to update their ECU ID (due to concern about their ability to do so and worry that they will not receive an updated tune from Magnuson).

So as a result, I'm building *several* tunes across several ECUs unfortunately. But this means that I won't be able to just get told "hey I want the tune, I have a 2020 AT." I need the ecu ID, because there's 3 ecu versions possible for just the '20 6AT.

There are some ECU versions though that are so old/poor/outdated that I just refuse to support. Most notably, 2016-17, 04B10-11, probably B12 too, and 04B00-03

Lol a handful or so have already sent in emails asking if they're in the first 5 or not for the promotion.

The tunes with all the ecu versions could possibly be done by this upcoming weekend, but the wife made me promise that the weekend will be hers lol and it gives me additional time to ensure the tunes are built anyway.

I mean, if I open up a deposit option, I feel like I still need to give an announcement with a few days notice to people to be fair, particularly so that people who have already reached out don't feel slighted.

Off topic from the immediate discussion, but @virginiamarine provided a photo of his boost gauge's recorded max boost from his dyno day/run:

Ohhh Nooooo (you hit a nerve). Where can i read about this? I suddenly have a very sinking feeling, as I just updated to 04B82 on my 2020. I never thought to check with you or Maggie, before the update; just followed what I had learned from miles of OVtuner thread (though I am not current on that). Hope this is not the one with potential troubles? Dang, does this mean that there are certain ECU's that Maggie cannot provide a tune for? I have the SC, but have not installed or asked for the Tune yet; installed exhaust and now working on gauges, then SC.

Please tell me that up update was not a step backward!!!

I also though that going back to stock tune is always an option (not to be mistaken, I do understand you can never go backward with the ECU version; hence my panic above).
