Spent the afternoon partially un-hacking someones hack job. There is way more to go...:annoyed:

    Customer states:
    1) Poor airflow to second floor
    2) Insufficient heat to second floor

    Wonder why....

The white arc is a piece of paper I put in there to highlight the hole -- 4" across and 3/4" at tallest. There was also a 1/8" gap on both long sides.

    KIMG2151.jpg

Hacked semi round hole in the warm plenum box - one of several.

    KIMG2154.jpg

Same hole with a new tab collar -- almost fits, almost round.

    KIMG2155.jpg

Looking across the plenum box, note the gap in the upper left.
Apparently a substitute for a tab collar is to just put a butt ton of slices in the pipe and mash it in there.
Did a decent job of keeping the basement warm at least.

    KIMG2153.jpg

Apparently they missed the point about running the furnace to actually heat the rooms...

Happy as heck with my tree work done today. These guys hit it hard from 830-630, they were spanish fellas, I offered to order pizza, they seemed confused. And only ate 1 of the 4 pizzas. Oh well I tried.

    Been watching this one,too.

I'd definitely confer with an attorney.

IC claims the suit will not affect their policy. Me thinks after 2 years their premiums will escalate dramatically.

Most peeps fire their IC after 3 years and shop for a new carrier. Thay all increase rates to see if you are paying attention.

I'm curious is the new IC will be aware of the previous settlement and keep their primiumns stupid high .

New flywheel, friction disc and pressure plate bolted up. I've got the transmission all bolted back in and rear crossmember back in. Bolts back in fan shroud that probably didn't need to come out but...meh repair manual. I didn't put the drive-shafts back in or the starter bolted up or shift linkage on. But good progress some today. Had a bit of snag with that rear main seal!! I got it started on there just fine..then with my fancy shmancy fabricated seal driver...drove the :censored:thing in too far!:frusty:
So that result in a 90 mile round trip to NAPA main hub in Omaha.
I own my mistakes. And properly fixed it. $17.00

That MI lawsuit is messed up. Can’t imagine being in the Jeep owners situation. Got me thinking if I’m in a state with ‘vicarious liabilty’. Found this doing a Google search:

California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island and the District of Columbia all have forms of vicarious liability statutes.

Glad I don’t live in one of those states but if I did, I’d never let anyone touch my car much less drive it.

Good Morning all :hattip: Hope you have a pleasant Sunday.
