help with grill insert

    I have an 06 tacoma and the 4 piece grill insert. Does anybody have instrutions for installation? I pulled the grill off, but the instructions i recieved were crap so i dont know what needs to be cut. Also, how does the emblem attach? im so confused. HELP???? I know i need to pull the bumper off to install the lower grill other than that, I am stuck. Thanks!!:frusty:

    Can you post pictures of what type of inserts you are putting in? Is it a billet?

    Without pics I can't be sure, but I don't think you'll have to remove the bumper for the lower install, I know I didn't. Post up some some pics and let's see what were dealing with.

    If it's a 4 pc Billet grill then it usually mounts over the stock grill using L-brackets/screws. Same goes for the lower piece and you don't have to take the bumper out to do this. The 2 triangle pieces are screwed through the factory plastic. The emblem is covered up with the solid billet grill unless you bought one with the center cutout.

    Thanks for the help, I thought it was a replacement. Not what I wanted so will sell it.

    Don't give up on it. It's not hard, a little time consuming, but not hard. You'll be proud that you did it on your own when completed. You may want to buy a extra grille so you can do the work on your own time. There are plenty of folks here that will be glad to help.
