The AMA should have black flagged Barcia but since they didn't, they better dock Barcia positions, points and give a 5k fine.

This move was worse than the one against Anderson earlier in the year. Going to be interesting to see what they do if anything at all.

 

Bam was docked 10pnts and ended up 5th in the championship as a result.

Just a stupid season of take outs all together. Feel for JA21 a bit, but the DNF in Detroit is really what cost him, not the Daytona BS with Malcom.

Compliments even more to Eli for riding a clean season, avoiding the drama, and wrapping it up in style. And yes, riding conservatively in front of your home crowd for a $1 mil purse is considered stylish.

 

i know this gets talked about sometimes

but this last 450 main it stood out like crazy

the difference in lap time is crazy, top 6 guys lapping the rest of the field is pretty wild

 

46 sec laps, that track was tiny. I wish they'd just make all of em in baseball stadiums rather than football.

 

I was wondering why the show was on 20 minutes before they showed a race. Lap times. Jett's practice crash was an ouch moment. But yeah, Barcia, like Ciancirulo said, it was almost a head on collision.

 

I'm finding myself more and more pissed at the AMA and how they handle asshats like Friese and Barcia with kids gloves (3K fine...keeping finishes...etc).

Curious to see how 2023 looks next Jan.

 

That was funny to hear Malcolm say that barcia was riding dirty on the podium. Well earned 3rd place for mookie.
You could heard the crowd screaming and booing. Can't say that race was boring.

Shoot good close of the season for Anderson and Craig too.

 

Everytime I see Barcias hit on Malcolm it looks miraculous that he didn't get his leg snapped...

My opinion, and a few on another forum don't lime it, they should've straight DQed Barcia and fined him...that way:

1. He drops back far enough in points to go behind Sexton
2. He doesn't get his sponsorship contingencies for 3rd
3. It was blatant all the while he is on probation from earlier this year with Bogle and Anderson.

I'd like the AMA to make it sting a bit instead of just asking for beer money for the cornerworkers.

 

Agreed. Don’t know why he keeps getting a slap on the wrist. He is clearly a dirty rider and he admitted he would do it again in the after race interview.

 

For sure agree they need to step up the consequences for t-boning someone. They can write it on paper what is considered t bone and what is taking someones line. Bonehead move on barcia. Should just accept he isn't as fast. Stewart had super clean pass.

The problem is only having like 5 guys worth watching. The other 15 suck and can’t fill the stands. They only get in the way when they get lapped. AMA Supercross doesn’t have the luxury of DQ’ing racers cause they need to fill the starting gate.

 

Lappers keep things interesting. Just crazy how there are only 5-6 great riders

There is going to be a familiar team announced soon that will be racing that series. They were a player in AMA SX about 10 years ago. So might recognize the name when you hear it. I can't say until it's announced though. But just a heads up lol.
