Any of you guys ready to short oil yet?
Bought some June puts on XLE near Friday's high.

It almost seems like too obvious of a trade, that part scares me. For the last 30 years, oil has always retraced, but this time who know's, it might be different.
My thoughts were that if Putin's WW2 holiday comes and goes without and major surprises, we'll catch a drop Tuesday and I'll close them.
Went out to June just in case. I'll play it by ear this week.

The problem I have seen around the industry I work in is that corporations do not pay well enough for the skill and talent they demand.

In Los Angeles minimum wage is about $16/hour. The Costco’s in LA area pay about $17 to start, Panda Express cashier pay is about $17. Cooks get $18-$20.

Company I work for wants to pay only about $18/hr to be a CSR and wants you to have a Bachelors Degree with 5 years experience in the Aerospace Industry. People who apply requesting for more than that, or HR dept does not even bother reviewing their applications. So somehow we manage to hire someone but when the training starts and they start realizing how difficult the whole situation is with pissed off customers (business customers) , our products that are past due for months , years , how it’s impossible to get answers for your own company on where the lot is at in production and new estimated completion date, training on how to use so many different software applications just to search or look for an order on the systems, …….working at McDonalds seems like the better career choice. People will leave with 1-2 months.

Don’t get me started on the openings we have for machinists and CNC operators. They want to pay them $22/ hr but they can easily get $27/ hr at any small mom and pops family run business. Last year our HR Director was blaming extended unemployment benefits, this year she is blaming generational gap that was not taught how to do work in manufacturing. It’s BULLSHIT!!! Friends and family of mine will not go work for big corporations anymore because they get paid more working for smaller companies and the small companies will not have layoffs the minute a downturn is detected. Small companies give them cash Christmas bonus. Our company gives us a $25 gift card to Target and they tax us for it on our paycheck.

    Sorry, End of Rant

Leaving my job soon for nearly this same reason. It really is insane insane how the execs and owners of the company can't see the issue when it's so glaringly obvious
