Well they need to stop moving to Georgia. Someone needs to put a NO VACANCY sign up on the State lines. We are full.

Bigger problem they bring their twisted and perverted values with them, and destroy their new adopted place. Key point Colorado was nice until Californians started moving in.

That's the thing. I want to move south eventually, but because I want what you got there. Not happy about a few things here.

This is everyone's view of their "place" with regards to outsiders moving in. I don't disagree though, fuck CA.

Have to say I'm pretty happy with how things are out here in Bumfuk Kansas.
Typically see two cars a day - Joe, the fella that farms couple of miles down the road from me, as he drives to town (population 223, which is 8 miles from me) and then when he drives back by on his way home.
If you can live without a Wal-Mart within 30 miles and are OK with grocery shopping every couple of weeks or so then there's lots of places.
It sure isn't for everyone but since I don't have much use for everyone it works out just fine for all concerned.

This thread has re-inspired me to continue doing my own oil changes.
It has therefor been rescued from the hijackers.... even though I are one.
    There, I fixed it.

I live within 300 yards of the nearest grocery store, 600 yards to the second nearest, and 1/3 mile to the nearest microbrewery. I still drive to all these places because I'm lazy and it's hot as balls.

Same. Though it's a cost thing. I just added up 6 quarts, wrench, filters, fumoto valve and a drain pan, and all of that still costs $5 less than the jiffy lube. The oil change that will be due after this one is going to be hoss.

When I recently purchased my new Harley which was actually out of state, I didn't receive a survey but I did write a letter to the manager of the sales department commending the sales person for taking such good are of me. I know it meant a lot to him as he actually called me to thank me for sending the letter. I have no idea if it got him a bonus or anything but his boss needed to know how pleased I was with him. People are quick to complain but lots of time they don't say anything when people do a good job. He definitely deserved to be recognized.

Mind letting us know what dealership you used? Others here in GA may want to stay clear of the dealership regardless of the outcome.

This is ultimately the problem. Assholes need to stop breeding.

Could even make the difference between the salesman getting a promotion or keeping their job if layoffs happen.

Your last 2 sentences said it all. I've done a lot of different kinds of service work and the common thread is the industry receives far less compliments than complaints. Hence why I also take the time to recognize excellent service in some form or fashion to that person's higher up when it happens.

@Rannyhill Good luck getting this resolved. Hopefully the dealership does the right thing and gets you a new Tacoma. I wouldn't settle for less. Knocking means internal damage. If you would've let it continue to idle and it seized, this would be open and shut case. Unfortunately you did the responsible thing and shut it off asap (good on you). Thanks for the OP.
