That guy who did the Toyota IFS videos on YouTube (I'll see if I can find it in a minute) found that a correctly-sized spacer lift can actually be beneficial.

If your shocks are the limiting factor at extension and the still have travel left when you hit the bump stops, then a spacer no larger than the remaining travel in the shock will give you more droop without causing the shocks to bottom out.

But that works out to like 1/2" lift, which isn't what anybody's talking about when they say "spacer lift".

    Dude that really sucks.

You could be a real dick and dig it out a bit more, lay some leaves or something to cover it, and let the mail carrier dig themselves into your makeshift ditch; that'll teach them :burp:

What's funny is, when we were outside in front, the freaking lady with a black german shepherd was starting to walk down our block.

She saw us and she crossed the street; bitch.

We recognized the dog as the last time we saw it, a guy was walking it. If you ask friends and family, they'll tell you I'm very confrontational but last time around my own wife walked out to tell the guy to get and keep his dog off our lawn  was proud of her but at the same time let down cause I wanted to do it. Was busy and didn't realize it when it happened.

You sound like the guy that puts caution tape around his lawn on halloween.

My neighbor did that every year. It lasted all of 20 mins before kids tore it down.

Oh no way, Halloween we even try to have the good candy so we can give out.

The barrier is really short/small to act both as ornamental and a small deterrent to small dogs.

Any medium dog can easily jump it, but it's one of those things where on a leash, a dog will walk alongside it and piss on it instead.

It's more of a misdirect. :burp:

I'm kind of in a different world with torsion bars and Dobinsons Long Travel shocks. The shocks don't bottom out on full droop. Down travel is limited by the SPC upper control arm resting against the frame mounts. So I have 24.75 inches of droop (limited by the UCA) where the max droop without a knuckle attached is 25" by the lower control arm. For up travel, compression is limited by two big Wheelers bump stops. The wheel will compress to a point but the movement is arrested by the bumps and lifts up that side of the truck.

So in a weird way compression on one side shifts the load to the other side as the frame flexes with the torsion bars.

It's crazy how wheels and tires change the dynamic of a vehicle

Put some new gladiator tires on 5th gen 4 runner snowflakes in place of the 3rd gen Tacoma TRD sport wheels and tires on the tundra; they're only an inch maybe two taller at most

but it's got soo much less power, I can feel the engine have to work soo much more, I can only imagine what my mpgs will be like

Meanwhile the 3rz 4r can now cruise at 80 and hold it's speed up an incline no problem with the 3rg gen taco sport wheels and tires vs the jeep Wrangler km2s it had
