You can wire them to what ever you want, I personally run mine to my ditch lights so I can use the two buttons on the knob to independently control each side. I’ve had people use them to enable the ECT function too

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
Was curious. I'm working on finalizing the design of a PCB to work with the 2x MESO micro-switches on a TRD Pro shift knob in order to control off road lights for example. It will also work in parallel with my shift knob illumination mod so the dual Blue/ Red LED changes when the micro-switches are triggered.
This would also work with your shift knob design.

Taking this design of spaghetti wiring to a PCB.

Thats cool, I've been working on programming a chip to control an RGB diode inside one of the knobs on my site then diffusing it through a diffusion sheet to make it have RGB effects like a gaming keyboard

I’ve also been working on a tundra knob design that I hope to have for sale by the end of February. Its really early on in prototyping so this is just an idea. This is it still in the printer.

Leather color is "Rosso Corsa", JDM AF

The shift knob is less squishy than the 3rd gen OEM knob, so shift feel when slapping through the +/- gate is greatly improved.

This is what I’m trying to replicate but with a delrin shift knob. How deep into the Knob until the threads start?

If I remember correctly, there is a recess between the bottom of the knob and where the threads begin; but, I don’t remember the depth of the recess.
I have the knob setup just how I want it, so I don’t want to spin it off for a closer look.
Sorry I am not of further assistance.

If you know anyone looking for the ECT trigger wire harness only from MESO, I have a few spare. I had to buy the entire harness just to get the micro-switches for my mod.

The aftermarket stick is a good improvement, but it does transmit some gear whine in 5th & 6th gears. This is the only piece of chrome left, but I like it! It really makes reverse a “only when wanted” proposition.

What did you do to get the collar to sit up so high, right under the ball? Did he come out with a new collar with smaller diameter?

Mine sits down a bit before the ball and so shows some of the shaft, like in this pic:

Because I was an idiot and threw away the o-ring that came with the kit, so I went to the hardware store with the collar in hand and just kind of eye-balled the o-rings. The one I bought won't go any lower than that.

Honestly, I'd prefer for it to sit a bit lower as my fingers brush the collar if I use a wrap-around grip when shifting and it's very mildly annoying.

Billetworkz weighted sphere in gloss grey. Also trying out the B&M short shifter. So far I like it, definitely better then the URD setup.

Ohhh interesting. Well if I ever want to move mine up, maybe I'll have to look at o-rings. I'm guessing you just got one that is thicker than "stock", so it doesn't allow it to drop as much?

Your shifter appears to have an extra growth coming off of it. What you add in there?
