Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Successfully mounted a tire to the wheel solo, for the first time ever. Haven’t had a full size spare since I bought the truck, so it’s time. Mid-process, realized that the valve stem wasn’t there, so did some research before I continued and ordered some Colby valve stems to install Tuesday.F0E35B65-AD47-493E-B820-20E484074FA2.jpg
Still waiting on gusseted spindles to come in and swap out, but now that I’ll have a spare, and as soon as that swap is done, I’m going to look into actually getting off-road with some of the local groups and begin enjoying the truck more.

Just in time for the other four tires to get swapped out, after comparing tread depth of the new spare to the mounted tires lol.

Gave her a quick B/P (buff n' polish for my non-aviation friends) and a leak check and look over before another week of daily driving. Planning on doing a deeper look over during the oil change coming up soon. I swear the maintenance light is blinking more and more each time I get in and start it..

I have a 2015 like you, but just watched a YouTube install on a 2017. Looks very doable for my skill set. Thanks for the post. I did not know there was a non-rivet option out there.

What did you do to make the steering wheel control parts and logo black?

How do you like them? I was thinking about these for my next set of tires.

Moved my son cross town. I have a big Tex 30SA trailer and it was loaded to the max along with boxes in the bed and guitars in the back seat. Truck performed very well on the freeway for 3 exits and it the steep hills where he moved to. Love the trailer too.

One load move and done. Gotta love youth!

Too rich for my blood and no manual. Been looking for a v2 manual but they want $40k plus for a $25k car.

I looked long and hard to find a non-rivet option. I was hesitant to pull the trigger because I couldn't find any reviews on youtube but I decided to try it anyway. It's not that hard at all. I don't consider myself nearly as mechanically inclined as most people here but it wasn't hard at all. A few things I would recommend are have some PB Blast on hand. The hood bolts can be a pain to get loose. I had to let them soak in PB Blast for a short time. Also, when installing the struts, after you get the ball joint in, install the end that attaches to the frame first then do the hood second. Otherwise it's a 15 minute job.

Not OP but you can buy overlays. I have one coming in today for the logo. As for the steering wheel controls, there's a whole thread with part numbers to black out a lot of the interior. You can find the part for the steering wheel controls there. I plan on doing this as soon as I get some other projects out of the way.

Mod list... Well, my paint is factory.
So it turns out that my new rack has an interesting feature. Since it's taller than my old rack, the boxes containing my cooking and heating supplies, along with various other things, can simply be lifted out without dropping the locked tailgate. So let's say on Mother's day I was to go to the grocery store, some dickbag could relieve me of said items, allowing me to need to replace about $800 worth of stuff. YAY!:frusty:

I would buy, or fab, a locking swing gate for the back of that rack to eliminate that bonus feature.

Ironically, I used my slider yesterday for the second time in 10 years and it was to pass through 10’ of gutter I could’ve strapped to the roof/RSI Smart Cap.
